Prediction 2018 trade hypothetical thread

I don't see any midfield capabilities in Logue at all. Sure he may have them but I'll only believe that when I see it. Doesn't have the agility/evasion/sidestep in traffic to be a midfielder IMO. He would be relying on brute strength, which is fine in bursts but not as a full time mid.

He is the intercepting/rebounding 3rd tall. Has the (almost) perfect athletic profile for it.
Spot on with this, he is built for that role running on to the ball

What would Bulldog fans want for Adams? fair value an early 2nd rounder?
I would say WC would be pretty keen on Adams- given Mackenzie is likely to retire due to injuries it does leave us short on KPD depth. (Allen & Brander have played down back at WAFL level but I think they become forwards at AFL level.)

Given the contract Lycett is supposedly getting with Port, we may end up with another pick around that 20-30 mark. So I could see that pick being offered to WB.
Most Dogs fans I've spoken about it with seem to agree that somewhere in the early 20's seems about right. If he went to the Eagles, I think the Lycett compo would be enough for Adams (since Blakey, Thomas, West bids plus Lynch compo will all push it back to around pick 23 or so), possibly even with something going back the other way. If he goes to Freo, I think just giving back our second rounder we gave them last year would be about right.
If he weren't so injury prone, I'd say he's easily worth a first rounder. Very talented player, one of the better and most underrated key defenders out there, just struggles to get many games each season. If he gets an uninterrupted run in, I think he will be extremely valuable to either of the WA sides if they want him

If im Carlton im gonna make a massive play this off season and it starts with us having to be bold and try and rise up the ladder by getting some ready made players in to help these young kids we have on the list rather than smashing them week in week out!!!

So first id start with:
Carlton: PP traded to the Crows for MM
Then go to North or Sydney and if they need points for Thomas/ Blakey then offer:
Picks 24 & 25 for their first round pick
If one of them says yes then:
1st round pick(NTH/SYD) Carlton 1st round 2019 Plus swap of 2019 2nd round picks for Shiel ( 1 year before FA) Setterfield and Scully (due to the need to get money off the cap)
If no from NORTH/SYDNEY then:
24 & 25& 1st round 2019 plus Liam Jones for the same 3 players
I would also make a play at Gaff and Fauslo
North’s first is going to port.

Does anyone else think Geelong or West Coast should try and get Aaron Sandilands for 10 or so games plus Finals next year.
Trade Freo a young player to help with the rebuild.
I couldn’t see them giving a decent young player TBH. But I see where you’re coming from.

What would Connor Menedue be worth in a trade?

Is out of contract, was pick 33 back in 2014 but could only manage 5 games this year.

A third round pick?

If that even

The Tigers fringe players will be ripe for picking over the next few years and there'll be very little they can do about it

Freo fans, I've been hearing for a while we may be keen on E. Langdon for a bit more outside speed. What's his trade value?
I doubt we'd be very keen on giving a contracted Langdon up. Will be top 5 in out bnf id imagine and is 22 and an amazing two way runner. No way he goes anything less than a late first/early second

Hogan is his trade value.

But in all seriousness, He’d be worth a 1st rounder. If he improves his kicking a bit & his tendency to go missing for away games, will be an absolute gun.

Freo’s main guy to re-sign after the Neale stuff is over

If Langdon was gettable I'd love to get him at the Dogs.
Marcus Adams + 2019 second rounder <-> Ed Langdon
This could be pretty fair trade if Freo rates Adams enough. On ability alone Adams is easily worth more than that, but consistent injuries brings his value down

Yeah I rate Adams- would happily give up something like 23 for him.

I don’t think Freo have that 2nd rounder anymore. So it would maybe be a 2019 2nd rounder for Freo- but he would more a need at WC than Freo imo.

Yeah and I imagine we'd want a pick for this year rather than next. We don't have a second rounder, and need points to pay for West to avoid going into deficit. Will be interesting to see what happens with Marcus Adams because it's so hard to pinpoint his value

Hahahaha no.

Injury prone full back and a future 2nd rounder for our best under 22 player? Cmon

Really? I wouldn’t have thought Eagles would be keen at all. Defense is pretty solid & Allen/Brander coming through who can both play fwd def. brander more of a back tho

Trade Freo a young player to help with the rebuild.

Sandilands at Geelong makes sense if he was fit. Would just have to manage him well & would cost pretty much nothing. Not being on a plane every week would help.

Not guaranteed that Allen & Brander end up as key backs- Personally feel they are better suited as forwards.

May work out that way (and they end up as KPD’s), but with Mackenzie at the end, and Schofield not guaranteed to be at the club beyond next year I think he is definetly of interest to us.

What would the WCE be willing to give us back if we traded them Marcus Adams and Jordan Roughead who can fill Natanuis hole for a year and then when hes back play few different roles albeit play them all pretty poorly. I know there has been some interest from them in English, as a dogs fan I want us to do all we can to keep him and commit to him as our ruckman for foreseeable future.
I didn't know he swung that way
NTTAWWT :D
