The nomination does count for something and Martin is ooc.
We haven’t really got much in the way of sweeteners either.
Would GC be interested in our future 2nd and say Kerr ?

I have no idea, but that's not a bad idea.
GC really are short of forwards, although not sure Kerr will have them rubbing their hands. TDK would, but that's not going to happen.

They could really do with Casboult, but I doubt Levi would go up unless serious money and tenure are on offer.
If he did go up, we may get a Band 4 compensation, which won't buy as much.

Where does Martin slot in?

HBF we already have Newman, Doch, SPS and even Willo/DT

HFF we have guys like Cunners, Fisher but mostly rotating mids

He will be overpaid and a mistake IMO. Still living off his early hype but he has not shown any more performance wise than someone like Newman.

Martin would be an option for one of the spots currently taken by JSOS, Gibbons, Deluca and Lang. You also have Daisy on limited time left. He'd have to earn a place on form but there would be a spot.

I didn't know there was a can of worms surrounding Casboult.
Casboult has previously stated that he doesn't want to leave Victoria and probably unlikely he and his family would like to do so now.

Martin would be an option for one of the spots currently taken by JSOS, Gibbons, Deluca and Lang. You also have Daisy on limited time left. He'd have to earn a place on form but there would be a spot.

Martin would be more than useful on a HFF and no offence to Lang, Deluca nor even JSilvagni....Martin makes for much the more dangerous player.

Was going to do something similar in isolating the three ares of the ground and evaluating as to how the mechanisms may function best independently and then as a whole.

Midfield for me right now would be...and should the pieces fall in place.

Kreuzer Coniglio Dow
Walsh Cripps Setterfield.....and then Fisher/SPS/O'Brien

Maybe this is more of a 2021 midfield given ECurnow and Murphy will still have involvement and the likes of Dow, Setterfield and Walsh will have that extra experience and body development, but it's the mix I like.

Here's what I playing out -

Our first for Papley which now could be a #10 and a third, for Sydneys second.
That second, approx #22 may be close for Martin.

The 2020 first has to be earmarked for an 'unbelievable' outcome and not for Matin in any shape or form.

Yep so as HARKER was saying:

Crows 1st (pick #10) & 3rd rounder for Papley & Swans 2nd rounder.
Swans 2nd rounder & our other 3rd rounder (or future) for Martin.

OUT: Crows 1st, 2 x 3rd rounders
IN: Papley & Martin

That would be amazing.

I'm not overawed by Martin, but he would add could add some X-Factor amongst the smalls, in the forward line.
On second thoughts, so can Cuningham and Papley.

I want forwards that can kick goals and not just hold the ball inside the forward 50. Pressure should be a pre-requisite.

I'll be thrilled if we can land one of Coniglio and Papley, and happy enough should we be able to add Martin, depending on the cost.

There may though be a way to land all three of them.

Papley for Adelaide's first makes a lot of sense. Depending on where that pick falls, we may even be able to get something back from the Swans, perhaps a 3rd round pick, or perhaps Darcy Cameron.

Swing that (or an existing) 3rd round pick + our 2020 1st to the Suns for Martin and Brisbane's 2019 1st.

Adding all three + maintaining a presence in the 1st round of the draft this year would be an unbelievable result for the footy club. And I don't think either of the above trades are particularly unrealistic.

I think if the Crows crash (so pick 8-10), we'd probably get a little something back. But it won't be a 3rd to a 2nd upgrade, that's a lot.
Maybe they throw in Cameron for a 5th.

He's contracted, and they don't want to lose him. If they let him go, we'll pay.

I think if we land Papley then Martin is probably excess. He fights it out with Cunners for the one spot most likely.

If Adelaide's pick is top 10, that is overs for Papley, but it is almost inevitable that we will be able trade that pick for a bundle of picks and then pay the fair price and use remaining assets elsewhere.

For example

Pick 9, 38, 68 for Pick 16, pick 19 (Bris)

16 and 45 for Papley

19 for Martin and 49
