We're apparently willing to move 3x All-Australian Eddie Betts on whilst still under contract, but couldn't possibly cope without Mackay's run and carry.

You all hate Mackay way to much not even that bad of a player so what he doesn't get the inside ball that's not his job

No, it isn't his job and that's fine. His job is to break lines and laser passes to the chest of team mates. Instead, what you usually get from David Mackay is him not bothering to look up and see if anybody is leading or open to pass to and instead decides to bomb it long and high to nobody in particular. The things that supposedly make him indispensable to the side are things that he's actually nowhere near good enough for a player of his experience.

I did have to laugh in the Dogs game where he and Douglas combined to over handball themselves into trouble, causing the ball to spill loose. Thankfully the veteran presence of 14 gamer Darcy Fogarty was there to clean up the mess that young Dougy and Mackay had made and we ended up kicking a goal from that passage of play. Mackay will have learned a lot this year and will know exactly what he has to work on in the off season to help him hit the ground running in 2020 and live up to his potential.

Remember the club will always survive and the tide will turn. In 2014 we had a the worst senior coach of the century cause our captain (I can’t even stomach writing his name), Cooney, Shaun Higgins walk out.

The result of this pinch point in time was that the club immediately realised the coach had spurned the playing group and rightly sacked him.

We got a fresh coach, some fresh faces, a fresh attitude and two years later had a flag.

Moral is embrace and encourage the sh*tstorm!

McClure was just unlucky that he was on the wrong side of the draw and had to face a rampant Cornes in the prelim. I’m confident that he would have knocked off anyone else.

- If Kelly has signed on, where does that leave Luke Brown? Both similar. Brown has never broken out from the dour role he plays, despite having all the attributes to offer much more.
- If Lynch has trade value, I’d rather trade him and keep Greenwood.
- Not fussed if Hartigan, Betts, Jacobs, Keath are moved on, especially if we can get some draft picks back.

Lynch would have less trade value than greenwood and greenwood, would only be worth a third
