What if JJ is just as disillusioned with the footy department as we are here on big footy. Maybe he’s not as good as other players at keeping his mouth shut.
Hense that would make him on our side.
Just a thought...
That's still a douche move... he is getting paid 500k a year to kick a footy around ... he should keep it professional

Currently at Swan Hill Club with work colleagues tgat are locals, Jenkins mum works behind the bar just stated he is in progress to move to Melbourne.

Had 3 meetings at Melbourne based clubs last week.

The boys said he passed through last week and had a "F#ck Adelaide" attitude.

Ill try find out what clubs.

Every club gets about 5 or 6 to hand out as part of the AFL ambassadorship program.

He may not get it every year but someone does. Like, as an example; I doubt Chayce Jones would get one.

That's not factoring in that Toyota may be sponsoring Tex directly, and have that in the deal.

If we lose Keath to a 3 year deal we are fu**heads

No we aren't. He is prime trade bait for a rebuilding side.

27 year old second KPD (being somewhat generous) with one good year, and a side who needs desperately needs to regen their list so should be entertaining trading older players who aren't integral to the side (which Keath isn't). It's a hard call to trade him, but also the right one.

Bank a second and move on here.

Charlie Cameron on Mitch Robinsons podcast and why he asked for a trade.

  • Family/Friends
  • Pressure/expectations of a footy mad town, too many distractions.
  • Felt like a "traffic cone" at Adelaide. Thought he was the 5th wheel in the forward line and wanted a bigger role.
  • Mentioned West Coast were after him, but his partner didn't want to move to Perth.
Robinson mentioned he was getting into Charlie from the middle of the year in 2017 and came down after the GF to get him over the line.
Apart from perhaps Family, a pretty sooky bunch of excuses.

So in essence wanted to be in a less pressuring environment externally but also wanted to be the main man in whatever side he was in.

I can respect that. That would be my dream scenario if I was Charlie.

Hartigan stays as a warm body on minimum wage, ready to be cut loose as soon as we have a younger replacement.

When Dunstall came in as CEO at Hawthorn, he delisted or traded everyone over 27. We shouldn't be THAT severe, but we should be looking to 2022, and competing for the finals again then. If you're not in that team and not Rory Sloane, you should either be traded this year or phased out as your contract expires.

I'd trade Jenkins, Greenwood, Keath, Jacobs and Tom Lynch. Gibbs and Betts stay, retiring at the conclusion of their contract. We build around the Crouch brothers.

I'd say Tex, Talia and Sloane are crucial for setting standards in each line, but anyone else over 27 with value should be moved on.
