Swinson has finally admitted that her fantasy of becoming PM is no more.

What a revelation by someone who is more hated than Boris Johnson!

Polls still point to a Conservative majority.

You do realise Corbyn is the least liked leader ever?
Yes, his personal ratings make Abbott and co. lovable in comparison.

And he’s probably aware of how unpopular he is, hence the hesitation of the Labour Party to vote for dissolution of parliament for this election. Swinson on the other hand was living in la la land thinking she had a chance at being PM. How she was going to get there nobody knows. Now she’s realising that people don’t like her and her parties popularity is going the wrong way.

Someone deflected when asked about their relationship with jews on that question time show. Seems old boy knows his game is up.

2nd Debate
With your host, Fiona Bruce Forsyth
Now with added women
Yes, the franchise was extended to the 4 largest parties for this evening's 2 hour debate show on the BBC
Format: each of the 4 party leaders given a half hour Q and A with the studio audience
1st up: Corbyn
Spoke well, a little shaky early on in the face of some hostility (was that ChappyUK about 2 minutes in?) but dealt with the questions and presented his case
Another step forward

2nd: Sturgeon
The best speaker of the evening
Positive, dynamic performance
Did get boxed in a bit tho
This is not a 1 issue Indyref election any more than it is a 1 issue Brexit election

3: Swinson
Last week the Lib Dems were threatening legal action after being left out of the first debate
I hope they saved themselves that time and money
Jo Swinson got picked apart on her voting record 2010-15, failed to convince on current policy and can only have done harm to her Remainer cause

4: Johnson
Looked ill at ease once again
Poor responses to questions from an increasingly dissatisfied crowd

How can Corbyn be neutral on Brexit?
Saying he wants another referendum where he will not campaign on either side; in fact is leaning as anti (as it is cancelling the initial brexit win) but the argument of vote on inaccurate claims can be made

Corbyn is trying to engage remain voters while at the same time achieve Brexit.

Problem is people see through the bullshit, esp with all the other noise going on around him right now

For those in the UK, what's caused the collapse in the libs vote? Are they running a shocking campaign, or is something else behind it?

From guardian coverage seems like inarticulate campaign

thats sad, they had a genuine shot this time to increase their vote by a big degree, and they have ****ed it

By promising to revoke Brexit without a second vote, the Lib Dems have really narrowed their appeal to only a certain section of the Remain base they were trying to win over (many may want to remain by fan see such an action would be problematic). Attempts to broaden their policies beyond just Brexit have only really reminded progressives of their role in implementing austerity in the coalition government (which is what saw them wiped out in 2015 in the first place), and Swinson’s seemingly deluded like that she could be Prime Minister (and that rather than support a Corbyn or Johnson Government she would vote for another election in the case of a hung Parliament, a prospect that’s appealing to literally zero people) along with clearly dodgy opinion polls being put out to encourage people to vote Lib Dem instead of Labour in seats where it’s a Lab/Con contest have also seen people turn on them. They’ve run hyperaggressively and overplayed their hand badly, is my read.
