Fun watching this back and noticing the similarities between Cunners and Phillip at the same age. Cunners better overhead, Phillips has a quicker burst and is better on the spread but both of them stoppage defensive beasts.

You could tell me 1:07, 1:24, 1:30, 2:07, 2:15, 2:30 were all Phillips highlights and I'd believe you.

Would love to see him playing in the same midfield.

Trade brown and play cunners at full forward

He can become our Leigh Matthews

Not that I rate Chris Masten, but he said that Mcdonald is a generational player...like a Buddy Franklin.

Seeing as we are the only team to have been in all the drafts and never had a number 1 pick or priority pick , I think we should be back dated a few . Can we ask for say 20 priority picks . I reckon we could fill most of those spots pretty quickly

No surprise Will Phillips was an incredible midfielder in his underage year and turned it up another notch in the finals where he outperformed Rowell in all but the Grand Final IMO.

It makes you wonder how the crows could overlook him.

Talking of priority picks at least the crows resurgence means that's out of the question now... now to hope that crouch doesn't come to fruition either and they keep him to help with their rebuild... shows don't need a total clean out

It makes you wonder how the crows could overlook him.

One thing the crows have historically done has been to go counter to hype or reputation and back their judgement.

They were pilloried at the time for picking a low profile bottom age kid (Dangerfield) over Ebert.

They plucked Doedee well ahead of reputation with a 1st rounder and traded down confident of getting Lever as a slider.

If any club is likely to do something unorthodox with a pick #1 it'd be them.
