Lack of love for the big fella!
Casboults number for the second half of the year were elite in so many measurements including and most of all, intercept marks...
Looking super good at the moment, a head of last year as his weight is spot on...
Just saying...
Are they?
Surely we base the consensus 22 on who people think should be in our best side, and where we think they are best utilised, rather than what will happen.
I voted for SPS in the defensive group, but that is not because I think he should be back there, but rather because I think that's where he will play. So I can absolutely understand why people aren't voting for SPS here - they think he's better utilised further up the ground.
As for your second point, I don't see that as an issue. I'd have Newman in my R1 side before at least 4 of those names, so it's not a stretch to suggest Newman is being picked before more of them.

Newman didn't make it...One fo first picked for me in the mids, don't need him down back with Docherty, Simmo, Newman running down there
Can't see him not getting a game down back lol he was incredible for us.Newman didn't make it...
OK, someone is trolling the votes, given that Betts, Charlie, McKay, McGovern and Martin are all on 94.7%
Spot on BB we always end up using 7 defenders with one of the wings dropping back and sweeping, Setters did it late in the year and even OB4Kinobi did it at times. We normally play 7 back with one of our wingers dropping back as soon as possible to become a +1 in defence, which could be one of Simpson, Doc or SPS.
So I can see Simpson or SPS starting as the defensive wing and dropping back but in this exercise will just name them both as defenders.

So with the Defenders what would happen if SPS get's votes in the midfield would Newman come in?
I'm having a hard time deciding between Fisher and JSOS; I'm leaning towards Fisher, but he may be in the Mids as well though
SPS is already selected on the bench, he can't be two places at once!So with the Defenders what would happen if SPS get's votes in the midfield would Newman come in?

Newman is the backline emergency. The only way he's coming in is if something horrible happens (*touch wood* please god don't let anything happen this year), like last year when Doc went down and Newman was promoted to the 22.
And we won't.Couldn't pick a team with all of Harry, Charlie, McGovern, JSOS and Casboult. Harry and Charlie pick themselves so came down to two of the other three. Love JSOSs' desperation and improvement last year, he makes the team. Casboult has become one of if not the most versitle key position player in the game, just had to find room for him. Can't believe it but I have had to leave McGovern out.
3rd in the B&F, 4th in the defenders poll!A lot of love for Plowman in that result...
I voted for JSoS as a forward ... with the idea of picking Fisher as a mid, but I would love to see JSoS rotate through the mids and Fisher through the forwards all depending on matchups on the day. Nice to have options!!I'm having a hard time deciding between Fisher and JSOS; I'm leaning towards Fisher, but he may be in the Mids as well though
