Not real keen on this, the cost of trading up even just 1 or 2 spots at the top end of the Draft is huge. As good as Hollands looks he is not a clear standout.

Might go #1 anyway. That video is impressive. Reminds me of Deledio - good overhead, booming kick, clean. Definitely the player I want most. Can't imagine he's on the board at #5 for us though.

Sydney still have Melbourne, Carlton, Brisbane & Geelong.
North Melbourne have Port, Fremantle & West Coast.

To get a better draft pick we need (assuming we lose every remaining game):

1. Sydney to sneak another win OR for us to get beaten badly enough that we sink below them on percentage (we’re currently 0.3% off)

2. North Melbourne to beat Fremantle AND for us to get beaten badly enough we sink below them on percentage (we’re currently 4.3% off but that could be more if they’re uncompetitive in their remaining games).

3. Adelaide to not receive Pick 2 as compensation for Brad Crouch

There’s a real chance we end up with Pick 3. Pick 2 is less realistic but technically possible. I’m going to be watching these remaining games with a keen eye.

I predict Jeff will sack him before his contract is up. He will then coach GWS to back to back flags in 23/24.

Yeah that's some rubbish from Clarko. If he's not in it for the long haul now then we had better start looking for a long term coach that is willing to put in the hard years.

But then again this is the man that said he will inject youth into the side, so maybe there was something lost in translation there. Given he has a different idea of what youth is he may have a different idea about what rebuilding via the draft means. Maybe he means rebuilding exclusively from the draft is not the way - you need FA and draft targets?
