Same as if the majority did in fact want to split the pick and the minority wanted to use it, then no doubt that minority would once again be shut down.

Also unless you're a recruiter or went to the non-existent U18 games this season then you're relying on the same footage and information as the rest of us are which means little.

Like I've said any other year I'd be in the majority here, but given that there's so many variables in play here "I don't believe" it's necessarily the best option.

Now I could be very wrong and to be truthful I hope that I am, because it means we're closer to success than I think we are, but as it stands "I believe" our list has many holes and a single player (especially another ACL case) won't fill those holes.

It's pretty arrogant for you to assume what footage I've watched. How many games have you actually watched or you just watched highlights?

I don’t think most disagree with the strategy of splitting the pick it’s just that’s it’s a poor draft to do it in with it being so compromised. The pick we would be splitting isn’t even pick 4 but rather pick 5.

Once again, generally speaking I'd agree however wouldn't a combination of Cox, Henry and Reid be more beneficial for our rebuild than say just a Phillips or Thilthorpe?

That is the conundrum that we're faced with.

Good thing it's not up to us to make those decisions because it's definitely a tough one to make.

All good and I've never been the type to hold a grudge.

I wasn't trying to imply that "my opinion is right" but am frustrated myself at how it's so tolerable here for the minority (subject is irrelevant) are continually ridiculed and shut down, that then seeing someone speak out against the trend (and happening to agree also) made me a little too ecstatic and mince my words.

We're all Hawthorn supporters here and we all want what's best for the club, there's going to be times where there may be differing opinions on what that may on fact be, however the moment we turn on each other becomes the moment we become no better than Carlton or Essendon supporters.

Yes I did but you pretty much dismissed everyone's else contraire opinion by saying "finally someone that gets it". Keep digging your heels in because it's the fourth time this has been mentioned now.

I asked you how many games you've watched and you didn't answer, so it's safe to assume you have watched ZERO. If that is the case I guess you're someone who doesn't get in IMHO. I would never come here and pretend to know anything about underage players or anyone player in any sport on any level if I haven't watched any games.

I dont think this is the year to split a top 5 pick, due to COVID

Its been widely accepted that the first 6 picks stand out above the rest, so let’s not trade it out for 2 players that COULD have slid if the kids actually played this season

Cat b is for next gen academy or players that have not played AFL for 3 years. Reeves is a cat a rookie.
