The afl site article and most of the news has been trying to push publicly for a quick immediate decision.
It just says they are prepared to go to 4 yrs to match but what , is that based on performance trigger extensions?
What is the actual deal offered?
In Horse's presser yesterday he says they (all clubs) do not yet know list sizes or salary cap levels YET, so how is anyone going to deal with that uncertainty.
The pressure might backfire on Essington again and piss Joe and management off more?
He can stay with them for all I care. Swans would need a lot of time to do due diligence investigation anyway.
Yep its just a bluff rival clubs would need to offer 5yrs which would trigger a first round compo.

They need to wait to see what comes their way first. The worst possible outcome for the Dons is likely to be he accepts. Essendon are one club who will definitely cut off their nose to spite their face. Essendon will try to force a trade scenario fo him I reckon and you can just see that blowing up their face big time.

Might as well run the AFL he is there for every decision/deal and equalization (aka keep Northern clubs in check) they make.

Agree. He orchestrates what happens off the field and Clarkson orchestrates what happens on it regarding the rules. Has completely ****ed the holding the ball rule this year.
Think its utterly ridiculous a coach can impact a rule setting but its happened Papley is now umpired differently to other players he literally needs to be clotheslined for a free.
He'd get less if he had a decent lawyer.
