With shrinking lists I would be shocked if any other club would have any interest in Kennedy atm.
Not sure that the lists will be shrinking

Looks much leaner in the photos coming out of the club, so hopefully that's a step in the right direction. From what I've seen of Kennedy he's slower and less agile than any of our key forwards. Doesn't really make him a medium forward, just a really short slow key forward.
He needs to get a chance to move past his injury issues and see if he can regain some speed and agility.
Yes, Cogs shook hands with the club. Deal done. Then came the AFL.We lost out on Papley and Cogs, but we also managed to unearth a massive and unexpected diamond in the rough in Pittonet and got Martin for free
I rate last year's draft and trade period an outstanding success for the club, esp as we managed to get such a prodigious talent in Brodie Kemp, who easily would have gone in the top 5, if not 3 of his draft class if not for his ACL.
I dare say 2019 could possibly be SOS' finest haul for us since the outstanding 2015 draft and trade period.
The stuff with Cogs is no fault of ours or Silvagni's, but he was back on top form in his final year in the job.
Could kennedy play a caddy or Mayne role . A small forward if papley doesn't come is j cameron or b roleFrom what I've seen of Kennedy he's slower and less agile than any of our key forwards. Doesn't really make him a medium forward, just a really short slow key forward.

I remember when we got him I said he is a Caddy clone and was shouted down abit because that’s when Caddy was still shit. That’s what he has to aim for imo and let’s not forget how average Caddy looked at times so there is still hope for Kennedy. I think the dream of him being a Parker type is well and truly gone.Could kennedy play a caddy or Mayne role . A small forward if papley doesn't come is j cameron or b role

Depends on the types you have. Some are more suited to multiple roles. Others aren't.Really over the Papley sh*t
Dogs bat deep in the midfield, yet all of them find a spot in the team, where they can rotate through multiple positions
Pretty simple isn't it
We need Papley big time.If the club were to go down the draft path again or were to target Papley, who wouldn't help our midfield need but would be a great addition, id love for the club to get an older player like Josh Kennedy (Swans) to play the same role as a Hodge played at Brisbane or Lewis at Melbourne. He still finds the ball, still gets his hands dirty, is a fantastic example of hard work and seems like a good person.
Papley having a great season so far, will cost plenty.

But what we need more than Papley is Dow, Obrien and Stocker to come on this year and be clear best 22 going into next year. These 3 are the key for us and if they come on it will make the draft/trade period for us much easier.
Im done with the draft for the next 2 years. See no reason to go to the draft with our first 2 rounds.
I think we have the list to challenge if a few guys can get better.
If i could have my way at the trade table i would...
- this years 1st for Papley and sydney's 3rd
- next years 1st and a 3rd for Hately and Caldwell (dreaming i know)
- free agent either Gaff/Viney/Crouch/Williams
If we got those 4 (anyone of those FAs) i believe we play finals next year, especially if Dow, O'Brien and Stocker and get better and consistent.
I am going to put it this way: the price we are going to have to pay to get Papley across is not going to be worth getting Papley across.
The Swans are going to hold us to ransom, and the only way we are going to get him over is to give them an offer they can't refuse, and realistically we could simply take or trade for players that could play his position much, much easier.
Papely is probably almost 2 first rounder territory now (which i'd still pay).We need Papley big time.

In this upcoming draft, the swans would be well within their rights to set a price of two firsts or a first and a current member of the 22. They would probably ask for H.McKay and our first, before moving to H and our second.Do you have a limit of what's acceptable and what's not?
Ive seen through away lines similar to your above about getting others to play the position, better, easier, with late picks and all that. But its obviously not the case, 40 goal a year players, who are 23 turning 24 years old and have played roughly 100 games, are not easy to come by. Yes we could find one in the draft, but how long are we waiting. We could chase Toby Mclean, but he as good or even a similar player?
I think we need to be a little less worried about cost and more worried about what we need. Tonight i saw a fantastic player, have a very good game and a player that would help us enormously. We are loaded up with kids, i want to have faith that they are good enough and just need time, so in that case, the need for us to value our draft picks so high, isn't there.
The plus side when chasing someone like Papley, is you know what your getting as oppose to any draft pick. Lets use 2 first round picks as an argument, we take say pick 9 to the draft this year and 14 next, it will be four years before both hit their prime and thats if both make it at all. With Papley, you will get a 200 game player. If we got 200 games out of every second firth round draftee, we would be in great shape.
It would be good to hear your max that you and others would pay, right now, im more than happy to offer a 1st, 2nd and 3rd
