Do people think it's actually likely that players can purposely throw games? I understand that coaching and selection can influence it but the players themselves?

There's no way I could go out there as a player and not try and play my best. Especially on a national stage. I'm sure most afl players are more competitive than I am.

Was listening to 5AA with Bicks and Rowey and they quoting the following

Port had played 10 opponents who were coming off a shortened break whilst they played two who were coming off a longer break

Adelaide had played 3 opponents who were coming off a shortened break but they played 9 opponents who were coming off a longer break

The remaining games were equal breaks.

Had a brief look at the fixture and yep it’s true.

I take it you didn't watch the Crows playing in the latter half of 2019?

Their only claim of "fairest" is playing each team once but forgot to mention that some of these supposedly "home" game were against the opposition that had longer break than you and some team started 5-6 games in hubs early in the season.
