The umpiring is a disgrace: not a HTB in sight, despite drops, throws, handing to a teammate. Clearly, the VFL have instructed them not to pay a HTB. Why? The players are expecting it now: on one occasion, a Port player, when tackled, just two-handed the ball up a little and dropped it at his feet, smiling at the umpire as if daring him to pay HTB. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Rhyce Shaw can't coach, and I think his appointment was deliberate. He's a tanking shield and will be sacked when they've had a bunch of top 5 picks over the next few years
Some say they can't see a clear game plan of Shaw, mind you, some also said Nicks didn't have a clear game plan as well.

I am at the point where I dont care if we have pick 1 or 2.

Doubt Hamish would pick the same guy Norf would at pick 1 anyway.
Pick 1 gives a possible opportunity to trade down to an early r1 pick this year and another r1 pick, maybe next years, which I think would be very handy for us to maybe try to get a pick for Horne - say if Sydney or Freo are desperate to get their hands on Logan.

North also has Dees' r1 pick this year so might be more willing to trade down. Holding pick 2 might still get the opportunity to trade down but pick 1 likely has the first option to do this.

I think it could be worth something significant to hold pick 1 over pick 2 this year.

Well for Pick 1 in the PSD only, I still hate the Idea of getting the Spoon but the Pick 1 agvatage in the PSD is too good to miss.

North pacentage wise are 103 pts ahead of us, even if we beat Carlton, we would need to beat Richmond to jump a Place expecting North to lose to the Eagles.
or If we beat Carlton and lose to Richmond, North will have to lose to the eagles By at least 60-70 pionts. maybe more.

Yep I think they are cheating. Afl will be too full of bs to investigate though.

I wouldn't throw those rocks too hard.

The turn around in attitude since the ineptitude of the Norf game, and games before that, has been "remarkable".....

Big night tonight, the Giants with 8 changes and dropped their captain.

Can Melbourne, who have their season on the line and a strong line up do the right thing and win, which would most likely mean GWS miss the finals meaningwe get pick 10...

Of course they won't, it's bloody Melbourne!

Quite possible, especially if they play after us in the last round

Do these experts not know Port Power who actually played at home and only beat a VFL side Richmond who come off a short break and stood with them until the last quarter when they got overrun....???

Need to real think properly about any future picks.

I still think Sydney can be a lot better than what their form indicates, a lot of key injuries.

I would be happy to get say North/Dons pick ahead of Sydney. Especially if Dons lose a few players in the trade.

Well maybe I was.wrong about Ken Hinkley, he's finally managed to do what even Brenton Sanderson did in his first year, and that's lead his team to a top 4 home and away finish.
