Rather cruel and distasteful way to begin their first finals series since 2017 and also their quest to try and win their first finals game since 2014.

I think the opposite. These guys are stuck in a virtual bubble with no hope at all of playing a game, the club is releasing ASAP back to their normal lives. Like the 2 they've released out of the bubble that will stay depending on list sizes. Player first move by Port IMO.

That pesky ACL is a risk, but the rest does check out.

If we're going to go a midfield option he's probably the best for us. Phillips is a better player now, but he's a bit..... Vanilla. Mind you, I'd be happy with him.

I'm a bit worried about Hollands - wasn't there some coverage on the fact that he doesn't go and get his own ball?

I feel gross defending Port but if they already knew they were gone at season's end it makes sense to release them from their covid bubble and let them live a 'normal' SA life for a few extra weeks.

I even had to explain to a Port supporter which wasnt easy, a scenario even exists where Port can win the flag without having to play the Cats, Tigers or Lions and play the Eagles on a dewy night at the GABBA.

Port people carrying on as if the AFL not moving Collingwood's home game to Adelaide Oval is the great injustice of 2020.

How many "home games" did Collingwood get this year? Port having 7 is an advantage that is perhaps balanced out by Collingwood playing a heap of games at the Gabba.

I have a feeling we got extra home games because it wouldn't matter. Us playing the Hawks away at AO doesn't help our finals chances.

Davies also had a crack at assistant coaches wanting to go to bottom clubs (Bassett to us) as being a poor career path in the same interview.

Yep and with ALL of their Covid breaches, you would think they'd be grateful they are able to play any games at home.

Im not sure in a pandemic year, usually you get the Grand Final at the G.

I know the Eagles wont get a 2nd home final if it pans out that way, I read this somewhere.
