Probably not that simple. Not having a second rounder would mean they don't have the points this year to fund that extra pick. Would need to go into negative next year taking away their 2021 first and second rounders possibly.
Wouldn't you do that to get the #1 and #2 picks in the draft?

Was listening to CrowCast this evening and they mentioned Sensible Crow Podcast is gone.
Anyone know what happened to it?

Tim English has been hot property on here yet he gets belted week-in week-out in the ruck. He needs to hit the gym and add some physicality to his game or he'll end up another Rhys Stanley.
Whoa boy, not with this fella....I've said right from his drafting he's not a Ruckman's bootlace and I doubt he'll ever be one, McAsey getting ragdolled last night got nothing on Tim English who's 4 years into his AFL strength and conditioning....he's a 205cm wingman (Isaac Smith), the comparisons made to Dean Cox are fanciful at best despite his immaculate skills for someone so tall.

you cant blame big h for taking chayce, but caldwell was a special kid.

No you can't. Chayce has flashed that he could be an integral piece of the 2020s Crows. You could argue he potentially lacks a bit of class, but there is probably enough there to get to a top-line mid. I adored some of his 2nd and 3rd efforts, in particular yesterday, though they stood out compared to the senior players, showed he's got his head screwed on right.

Still though, if the kid below you is special, there will always be that what if.

The difference between a bid from the 1st pick and 2nd is 3-400 points. They won't lose too much by it and not enough they'd be worried about a deficit.

After all, the option of having the two best players out of an average draft is way too tantalising. They could always trade their 2021 1st back to get those 2nd rounders as well.

Whilst I'm looking forward to a high pick, after watching a lot of the matches this weekend I'm slightly concerned that we might be a bit worse than we need to be.

Carlton is still shit, Freo look shit too Sydney as well.

I'm hoping we get Carlton at home because whilst I'd welcome the high draft pick, I still want us to win the odd game.
Carlton at home?

Tell 'im he's dreamin'.

I just read that Burgoyne got off for his sling taken due to a new rule amendment being made strictly because of his scenario.
Gee the luxury it is to be a Victorian side where you get rules made in your favour when your player breaks them.

Its the opposite. Burgoyne got off due to the existing rule and they immediately changed it so if anyone does it in the future they'll be suspended

I might be wrong, but I don't know how much we will see of Rankine.

But if we do, and he is as good as we think then bloody hell.

Personally I'd have picked Rozee ahead of him, imagine if they'd done that.

Saw Dew on some show this morning. He’s obviously had ongoing issues. Says he’s probably 3 to 4 away and maybe plays in the scratch this week. They wanted him controlled sprinting for a bit before he‘s forced into uncontrolled situations in games.

And we'd of hidden him at half back in the SANFL so Douglas, Gibbs and Greenwood could get all the midfield minutes.

At least we didn’t have to make up a sham part coaching arrangement for those guys to hog all the development minutes. To be fair to Greenwood though, he really did need the fitness that comes with midfield time.

Problem for Izak is he's been 3 to 4 away since he got there.

Didn't he train with us during 2018 right when Burton and Hass were working their magic?
Workrate has always been an issue for him, and perhaps the only query was his ability to step up to AFL training loads and professionalism.

LOL. Yep, he certainly did. That's when we began formulating our cunning plans for the 2018 draft.

*They wont know what hit them.
