Pretty easy to pick - all four 2x Norm Smith medal winners, plus God for his 1989 GF heroics (arguably the greatest ever GF individual performance).
The order though?
Surely Ayres would be at 1.

It's no coincidence that the two who Lloyd didn't play against were ranked the lowest. The order though?

Maybe a winning GF side but not a losingIt's no coincidence that the two who Lloyd didn't play against were ranked the lowest.
At the end of the day, I was looking at the 5 selections as a group, rather than the particular order in which they were selected. There are 4 players with 2x Norm Smith medals, and all 4 made the cut. Then there's God, who played the single greatest individual Grand Final performance of all time.
Personally, I'd have God at #1. No other player has, or probably will, ever come close to matching what he did in that 1989 GF.
He singlehandedly dragged them to a point where they could have won, against one of the great sides.Maybe a winning GF side but not a losing

Have you watched the game?Maybe a winning GF side but not a losing
Was referring to a repeat performanceHe singlehandedly dragged them to a point where they could have won, against one of the great sides.
My fault in lack of reply, a performance like that again maybe only be reproduced in a winning GF,my badHave you watched the game?
** Genuine question. Trying to ascertain your level of understanding of his achievement, not trying to be condescending.
Here's his finals history:My fault in lack of reply, a performance like that again maybe only be reproduced in a winning GF,my bad
Yeh as I elaborated on the only way that GF performance maybe equaled would be in a winning GFHere's his finals history:
1989 - 3, 7, 8, 9
1992 - 5, 4, 4, 3
1994 - 6, 6, 3, 1
1995 - 4, 0
1996 - 1
I believe the 27 goals he kicked in 1989 is still the record for a single finals series.
His 9 goals in a GF is a standout, but he also had 5 other bags of 5+ in finals over the course of his career. The GF performance was not a one-off.

Unfortunately I was at Footy Pk and he came off at one stage and was booed at the time I turned and argued with the Crows supporters behind poor formSnr is the greatest player I've seen by far.

Pretty sure it’s not the first time Burgoyne has done that tackle.Tex got 3 weeks for the same tackle a few years back
Fair enough but the first pick i would take in any team from my time watching is the undisputed greatest forward in the history of the game..tony lockettSnr is the greatest player I've seen by far.
Funny enough both didn’t like hitting the training trackFair enough but the first pick i would take in any team from my time watching is the undisputed greatest forward in the history of the game..tony lockett

I remember when the crows played at moorabin inFunny enough both didn’t like hitting the training track

Imagine if St Kilda were any goodI remember when the crows played at moorabin in 92 from memory and lockett absolutely destroyed us..kicked 6 on hughes then a few more on someone else and cornes put rocket maynard on him..maynard reckons that he put a hand on lockett and locket told him if he touched him again he would kill him..rocket sat 5m away for the rest of the game
Gee he kicked some huge hauls and he was virtually unstoppable
I know..but any team with burke, winmar, loewe, frawley and of course lockett should have been right up there. Or imagine if lockett had been at ff in that hawthorn side, he would have gone close to kicking 2000 goals imoImagine if St Kilda were any good

Jarman never kicked 9 in a GF, let alone after kicking 7 & 8 in the two preceding finals.Didn’t Jarman kick 6 from effectively half a game up forward? Wouldn’t say he’s too far behind.
The Hawthorn era was built around a small group of ELITE, once in a generation players; Hodge, Mitchell, Franklin, Rioli, Burgoyne will all be inducted into the Hall of Fame with Hodge and Franklin future Legends. He's not been a successful coach like 'the maestro', right?
We did rip Richmond apart last year (without Cotchin, Riewoldt and Rance).

Who in our 2017 Grand Final side will be Hall of Famers?
Clarkson has been an outstanding coach but he has also had the cattle. It made sense for Hawthorn to recruit very good role players to remain in contention but they are now a middle of the road team despite recruiting some very good players like Mitchell, Winguard and O’Meara.
Chris Scott was a supercoach in 2011 but not so much once he lost the core of elite players (Bartel, Johnson, Scarlett, Chapman = at least three Hall of Famers)

Blighty was an amazing coach but what do Rucciuto, McLeod, Hart, Jarman, Goodwin and Bickley have in common?

Don't get me wrong - I loved Darren Jarman, and what he did for the Crows... but Ablett was in a whole other league.
