Incorrect, he doesn't need to be in the top 5% of ALL players on an AFL list, just players aged between 25-30. Obviously that narrows down the field a lot, and will affect where he falls in the order for the top 5%

Also, I've seen someone writing on this thread that he gets attributed 8 points for his age, but it's in fact 10 points, as he will still be 26 by the time a trade is completed

Yes, you're right about it being just those 25 to 30.

You would guess that makes it harder, as that is the prime earning period for AFL footballers.

Fun fact the Crows womens team averaged 59.1 points over the 2019 season (9 games including 2 finals). The crows mens team are currently averaging 45.38 points after eight games. Swans, Hawks, Roos and Dockers all averaging less than 59.

Also, women’s games were shorter.

My bad, 16 min quarters for the men and 15 min for the womens.

Men’s games are 16 plus time on. (First quarter against Gold Coast up here went for over 25 minutes). Women’s game only had time on in final quarter.

AFL has us "commuting" to and from QLD for the last two games - saves money for them I guess rather than have the whole team and hangers on in accommodation up here.

Apparently I was wrong. I knew that the AFL had deliberately avoided scheduling matches in NSW, expecting the situation there to get worse. I thought they'd moved all of the clubs out of NSW after the last game in R8. Apparently, I thought wrong!

The AFL had better hope QLD stays relatively Covid free..

We had two 19 year old girls up here return positive tests in the last 24 hours.. both had juat returned from Victoria and ignored all rules requiring them to self isolate and have been out and about in their neighbourhoods for the last few days..

seriously... this level of selfishness should see both these ****heads receive massive fines..

But Anna P wont hesitate to shut the borders to all and shut down all sport if it comes to it and theres a second outbreak of the virus in QLD..

in all honesty every border in this country shouldve remained shut since this all began.. its utterly ludicrous that People are still travelling interstate to holiday... stay in your own state ffs. Then atleast we all have a better chance of restricting the spread.

one of these 19 year olds is a cleaner in a Logan school.. the school has now had to be shut as well as several other organisations in the areas including aged care homes..

these two selfish little ****wits went to melbourne, obviously for a little holiday, and then flew back through sydney and lied on their entry form back into QLD.

if anyone linked to any outbreak caused directly due to their selfish actions dies they should really face manslaughter charges..

selfish and ignorant morons wont learn or care until there are huge consequences. these two have been working and wandering around shopping and socialising for 8 days now since returning from melbourne with Covid-19... their actions could easily see the start of a second outbreak and the entire state shut down again. how many people have these two been in close contact with in the past 8 days and how many of those people have then been in close contact with others?.. could be hundreds by now ffs.

I think the game v Melbourne in Alice Springs was a pretty clear indicator. There was scuttlebut just after that that players had given the club until then to act but nothing was done.

either the players/clubs are confused about the rules thus making the afl incompetent for not clearly outlining the rules

the players/clubs clearly know the rules but dont repect them and are thus ignoring them..

seriously.. it wont take much for the QLD Premier to just ask them to all piss off out of the state and lock the borders down effectively ending the season as WA and SA wont have them.. especially given the events in the last 24hrs in Qld/nsw.
