I doubt Hately was ever in contention for us personally looking at our ultimate picks where speed and running power seemed to be where our recruiters were at.

Port do need to act on this as it may derail the start to the season re- 150 celebrations, as every time they announce a feel-good or any event, the articles and publicity is going to be more about the China game than the feel-good announce,I like how they keep interviewing powa players and staff about travelling to China, like they've really got any say in it. The first to pull the pin would be either St Kilda or the AFLPA, then AFL. Powa would be the last to pull the pin. And they don't necessarily have their players welfare as first priority given their history of concussion and just deciding to play a game there full stop. Bunch of idiots to even keep stating their planning to go ahead even up to recent days given what's going on.
Well doesn't appear to be going ahead now for their fans with the travel agents appearing to pull the pin...
rumoured to be buying Toyota out soon lolSo the neighbours have gone for a cheap Chinese knock-off MG as their new major sponsor.
Somewhat fitting partnership right lol!

Na Mate Just because SAIC Motor is in cahoots with GAC Motor who have a joint venture with Toyota, does not mean a Chinese State own Company will be able to Buy A Japanese own Company, Like to see that get pass the Japanese government.rumoured to be buying Toyota out soon lol
5 years is good but the first 2 will just be making up for the lack of sponsor over the last couple of years?
I wonder if Port getting half a major sponsor will ever not be a huge story... for them.
Anyway, "MG" have some how managed to find the one way to make their cars even less desirable.
The only thing the Chinese owned MG brand has in common with the legendary British sports car manufacturer is the badge on the front of the cars.I'd have thought going from a luxury brand to an el-cheapo brand made the cars less desirable in the first place.

A home game at the Dome against the Power will give them a massive advantage.
a friendly update from C4 - he believes Port are putting in the groundwork to lure Hately back to Adelaide.
I would have preferred it if he said Adelaide were the ones doing the groundwork as I think Hately will become a good big bodied AFL player

No Powa fan can ever make fun of how Tex was a bad captain after how Wines went as one..They would be looking to replace Wines.
IMO St Kilda have the most to gain if China is cancelled.

Then again, I actually do want Port to make the Finals (Elimination Final knockout) and Ken to be extended for another 2-3 years at Alberton.
This. Absolutely vital they slip into 8th.
Gray, Westhoff, Boak, Ebert all coming to the end, the cliff could be a big one with Kenny at the wheel.

Have been thinking about this. Do we have a general up-to-the-minute-topical discussion thread? Because as news, topics, interesting tidbits crop up it's difficult to find, or remember, a suitable existing thread at times to talk about stuff. There's a lot of Crows discussion going on in here...
I think that's a good ideaHave been thinking about this. Do we have a general up-to-the-minute-topical discussion thread? Because as news, topics, interesting tidbits crop up it's difficult to find, or remember, a suitable existing thread at times to talk about stuff.
eg. when Brad Crouch was fined $2000 and escaped a ban, what would be the appropriate thread to post comments on that. No point in starting a thread just for something like that. I actually searched MRP in thread titles but none appeared suitable.
Anyone else feel the need for a general all-in thread for for the little things that are topical and don't fit into existing threads?
yes yes yes I know I could start one, but I'm not going to start one and have no campaigner post in it. I want to gauge posters interest...or is there one already floating around?
