So I've finally hit the point I have missed AFL seeing I've started watching the best of the decade videos the AFL released over Christmas.

I'm only here to mention that David Mackay made the bumps of the year video as the aggressor

Edit: Also it's genuinely amazing how many times Dangerfield appears in that video as the person laid out in a hit. Can't fault that dudes bravery at all.

exactly. There would’ve been some tall defender from outback Queensland or something that we rated at 8 but knew we could get at 15 because everyone else rated him at 75.

Should have mentioned he'd be a defender (well picked up) or possibly, "third tall" in defense. Man, we are so open to trading down yet other teams, and I think of the Saints a couple of years back when we'd have traded 8 and 13 for 3 and they were like..."**** off". I mean there is never any of that..."you want that pick, well we want...so go get it for us" No way we should have traded down for Lever without trading up to the pick we wanted for Maynard...though could you imagine 2 Kellys on the HBFs?

That Doedee move was downright brilliant in what proved to be a garbage draft at that point (I know we didn't trade down per-se, but more picking someone out of obscurity). Jury is out on McAsey being worthwhile but he does seem a rather safe pick (and I am a sucker for a 1st game debut as well).

My entire opinion on it is eh, if you can get a second first-rounder you may as well as its rather unlikely you'll draft someone worth 2 firsts, and you have a much better chance with the two firsts once you are out of the top 3-4 picks.

Looks like Dodoro has been singing from our hymn book, said on the radio today that he doesn't regret passing up 2 x 1st rounders for Joe as they would have picked up Harrison Jones (30) with their first pick offered to them anyway (9)

Yeah we lost our wigs on that one. Ended up with a Mirkin.

Rock and a hard place...Brisbane came to us with a good offer a year out with Tippett...How our side would have been for the year of pain

My point was though, do we really believe he would have picked a player that went at 30 in the first round?

I don't mind backing ourselves in but once we give up our position, it should be worthwhile and foolproof

I really don't think the Crows copped that much heat over Stengle

Jack Steven has had way more coverage

I am in Melbourne though, maybe it was just an Adelaide thing
Has it been negative or "respectful".

I heard Joel Selwood come out and say it is an internal.club thing and they won't discuss it with the media.

If someone from our club said that, and we have done so in the past, the media is all over us.

But Geelong, a club that has recently been pinged for SalCap breaches, is allowed to forgo such scrutiny?

Where is the outcry from Caro about Social Distancing and letting the image of the league down. I doubt Stevens was stabbed by a 1.5m+ sword......
