Who was the last good South Australian to come home before or just after their peak?

Scott Thompson?

No point pining over Luco and Rankine. They will only play for us or Port at the end of their careers.

If at all.


We never had a chance with these two. GC were never letting them go past them.

Like Lyons, we preferenced others and squeezed them in for cameos only or across half forward.

We didn't realise what we had.

I thought the issue with Greenwood was contract length.

After being burnt by Jenkins and Gibbs, a concern of how long Greenwood could go on into 31 and 32 years of age.


I would have gave him that contract though.

He, Danger and Cameron are the only three players we have lost in recent years I wish we still had.



Should never have let Cameron and Greenwood go. Pay them the contract they wanted

If by miracle we get a hold of pick 2 (and by miracle, I mean, AFL magic beans from a certain FA compo and us being very uncompetitive), I wouldn't be against trading that + a 2nd. I wouldn't go any higher though.
