The Hawks will be down for quite a few years. For all the great work Clarko has done, him opting to trade in older players instead of going the draft will come back to bite big time. There's no promising kids coming through.

Should go to GWS.

He will take them to a flag. That squad has way too many weapons to not being winning multiple flags, let alone none.
The Giants should ditch Leon and throw the sink at Clarko for sure.

Their list is in horrid shape
Well they have hardly drafted any young talent in recent times, preferring to use their picks to trade in players.

If it wasn't for Clarko, they would be very low on the ladder.

Hopefully he doesn't as GWS would then dominate!

Btw, you are right.

Gee it would have been nice to pick up Petracca when he was still considered fat and lazy... Looking elite now, and will only get better.

IIRC he was ours to take, if Patrick decided to maybe widen his options in terms of Victorian Clubs instead of only Geelong.

We were I think offered two top 5 picks.

Teams that stop Dixon will beat Port. Triple team him and it's game over.

Speaking of Carlton, where's Liam Stocker?
Checked the injury list before posting. For someone they pretty much sold the farm for, he’s not giving them any value

Will Day having another really good game.

If Port winning the flag is what it takes to put a rocket up us and finally gets us to instill proper change at all levels then bring it on.

It would certainly put another layer of pressure on the club.

After all, if there is one thing the club is scared of more than a winless season, it's Port briefly rising above being a mediocre club.

Remember when people on this board used to earnestly claim that Josh Jenkins is better than Charlie Dixon?
Dixon is a forward who can crash packs and take big grabs, but he's a shocking kick and is made of glass so he's never been able to reach his potential. JJ is a cream of the crop player who is a good addition to a team who plays fast free-flowing football like us in 2016-17. He runs hard we which is why he was able to kick Joe the goose goals when we moved it quickly. When our movement became stagnant, he was exposed because he's a marshmellow who can't stand contact.

Weird statement. Both average players who rely on others to make them look better, and whose gap between best and worst is a canyon.
Jenkins also has about 100 goals more than Dixon too and doesn’t get injured every 5 minutes. It’s taken until the age of 30 for Dixon to get his injuries under control, he’s a wasted talent who we may only get to see two decent seasons from.

Still reckon those Jenkins goals were heaps valuable do you?

He's never been a fan of JJ, and that's fair enough.

But he's been a better player than Dixon for the vast majority of their careers, that is irrefutable.

I am amazed anyone wants to die on that hill looking at Charlies career.

Reckon you'd be hard-pressed to find a more inconsistent player in the competition. Mind you, injuries certainly have not helped that.

No matter what can be said about Jenkins, he at least he was consistent.

Yep, Port missed multiple goals from point blank range, especially at the death

But Gray was cool (on a warm day) and calm when it mattered most and slotted his set shot from 35m out. Was a good game, Port lucky to escape after poor kicking in front of goal and should have won by more
