Why is it that Port seem to have won over the Vic media?
Because Tex has never been a good mark. The only way he would extend his career is if he became a strong marking full forward like Hawkins is. But he is too slow and can't put two arms up for a mark now.
Has shown no signs of making a remarkable recovery from his many ailments over past 3 years.
Hass has f’ed him sadly. Ditto Sloane.

Of all days today, I saw an article about the Tippett sanctions we received in the Advertiser.
Timing is interesting........
So what's the excuse since we left the SANFL which was a long time ago. Ironically we were a better run club under the SANFL
Yes...because that’s news..Of all days today, I saw an article about the Tippett sanctions we received in the Advertiser.

I wonder if they’ve got another camp article in them.

To extend his career, Tex needs to get right, lose weight and be a more mobile version of himself. The talk about playing further up the ground was the right idea as it requires a more lean, fitter and uninjured version. But reality is that he's ticked off none of those.
Our board was accountable that sentence sums it all up, when they were accountable things were semi decently run since they've had a free reign it's gone to shitIt's pretty simple. We were the SANFL's cash cow, our board were accountable to someone very close to them that was desperate for beans. Now they're accountable to the AFL, who only care if we're embarrassing them or start needing special funding. And it's hard to fall that low with league leading season tickets sales and crowds. But we're giving it a red hot go.

What's the deal with Carltons players attached to the Gibbs deal? Liam Stocker and LObrien - neither look to have played an AFL game this year. Paddy Dow has only played one game as well - in emergencies this week. These are 2nd and 3rd year, first round players and they are not getting a game - whats up with this?
And also why he consistently kicks into the man on the mark. The most infuriating mistake in football.Without knowing his underlying injury issues, i think that Tex should do something similar to what Boak/Dixon did during last off-season to get supremely fit.
IMO Tex still is an integral part of the team but needs to get fit and play/attack the ball more - address such things as to why his kicking has gone off, why continually going for a mark one-handed, why the focus on body blocks in some contested situations instead of getting the ball etc
Naughton back will help as Bruce has been ordinary.Top eight looks just about set IMO. The Bulldogs might scrape in, but their forward line isn't good enough to trouble the best sides.
The Crows had a good record against the top sides in 2017, Brisbane aren’t even close to that level.Lions have real Crows vibes about them
Bit of flat track about them
Poor goal kick accuracy
Have the odd game where they are absolutely putrid
Struggle to get up against the bad teams
