Its not Brown himself.. the unrest in the hub was resulting from his significant other.
So, his wife who was dealing with the trauma of a miscarriage while isolated from her family and support network was plotting and scheming to bring the whole joint down?

Sounds plausible.

Duck Yeah you carried on like you'd uncovered a double agent after listening to the podcast she was on.

I listened ready to get angry and heard nothing in it that suggested anything you said.

Now you're talking like you're ITK and the Browns have been a "cancer" on hub life.

You sure you didn't just hear a woman who doesn't know her place?

Anyone else find it weird that Saad and Brown are in quite similar situations, yet Essendon have a lot of leverage and North have none:

- Saad, uncontracted, unhappy with the clubs direction, wants to go to Carlton
- Brown, uncontracted, wants to stay at North, club undecided if he fits into our direction

Essendon can apparently ask for a first round pick, North can apparently take what they get...

We don’t have Doro?

She posted on Instagram at the time. Apparently she had a dream there were twins, then severe morning sickness (there is a term for it) that can indicate twins. When they got the scan there was one baby.

And of course, the Browns are allowed to feel exactly how they want to feel about this, it had no bearing on his performance (IIRC he only played the one game afterwards) and they deserve a comfortable home life to ensure all is well in the rest of the pregnancy.

For others, let's steer away from opinions or rumours surrounding Ben and his family. Painting anybody as a "villain" is totally illogical and unwarranted. It's a footy contract.

I'd suggest you go back thru the media and see who first started pushing this "Brown worth a second rounder/2 X 500k" bullshit and see what clubs they are associated with.

Forgive the intrusion just had a wildcard suggestion for you - and one that I think could work well for both clubs;

Polec is from South Australia. Could North give him to the Crows and swap top pics? (late pic make-ups if needed, IDK maybe you get their third or something) Seems North not in love with Polec and that deal could get the Crows Polec and Thilthorpe - two locals out of the draft. Which wouldn't be a bad result for them.
North get McDonald - your future KPD, also a good result and move on from Polec if that's what they want.

How about it?

I think Polec would be better suited to a side in the top 8 that defends well and he can have license to run wild.

You thinking Port Adelaide, Psicosis?

The problem for Jared is that only the elite get that license. We have coaches last night talking about systems. You'd need to be Martin quality to get the ok to work outside that.

ok lets lighten the mood with some highly complicated trade hypo’s... Rooboys Rool style..

*scum send Saad to BLWS for 7.
*scum on-send 7 & 42 to NM for BBB and 67.
Higgins and 25 to Dangerflog City for 15.
Polec to Melbourne for 23.
23, 42, 57 to Bullies for 13.

2, 7, 9, 13, 15,

2 - Hollands
7 - Phillips
9 - DGB
13 - Thilthorpe/Cox
15 - Mcrae

Ahhhhhh, this trade game and drafting shit is too easy..

In the spirit of this big footy thread of comings and goings, how do we facilitate a deal to get Teffy back and ship off this Duck Yeah character?
Plenty of others I’d look at welcoming back into the fray before him.

No, That has nothing to do with it.. she was involved in negotiations and involved herself in Browns career, posturing to other wags and being a pest. there’s other reasons to NMFC happy to move brown on for nothing.. keep telling yourself its because of form or Rhyce. Cool. All I am saying, is the drama caused by significant others in hub life has obviously impacted his value at the club

I have heard this from a few sources.

I actually mentioned it in part 1, was also howled down. I don’t always agree with what you say but in this instance - I think you are bang on the money.

Yep. Richmond use Lambert and others to specifically look after Dusty's man so he can chase footy. Obviously, Polec is in a separate solar system to Dusty.

Excellent post.

Also forgot to add that Saad has become David Dench reincarnate without playing a game while Ben Brown is Aaron Black's poor cousin!

Moot. My point is if adequate compensation is not forthcoming (I believe it will be...) then BB could get his wish and stay and everyone can move on.

Compensation will only come should he accept an offer from another club. I can't see another team offering him the 850k by 4 that he is looking for?
