Adam Cerra at Freo? 2021. Unless you do a Brad Hill and offer him $900,000 a year for 5-6 years, I dont see him leaving this year.

If bing is such a certainty as some say, the saints just need to make sure they hang on to their 1st picks each year and just sit tight.

I tend to think it's a bit to do with GC being able to lure senior players that would be worth 1/2/3 1st round picks, with them knowing they can trade bing to us any given year and get 2x 1sts.
Of course as we climb the ladder those picks become worth less, so it's in their interests to trade sooner rather than later, and before he's OOC.

Like you, l still want us drafting elite talent each draft, but with all the FS/NGA prospects this year, it'll be a sellers market hopefully.
I think/hope that we'll just be pragmatic about it, because we've still got Clav, Coff, Bytel and Byrnes to feed into the seniors as is.

If bing doesn't happen this year, we've basically got a spare 1st round pick to use how we want. It's pretty luxurious actually..
