Carlisle and our future first for Taranto? They need a KPD with Corr gone.

P Davis is also is also starting to break down. So carlise would be cheap get for them. Taranto is also a Lenny lover and wants to follow him to the saints.
Gws receive
Carlise, this year's first, next year second

Saints receive
Taranto, gws 4th round

Fair but when the company line is that we need to add quality to our midfield, trading out one of our best midfielders to bring in a slightly better midfield isnt making the midfield much better.

That would take our midfield from a 6 to a 7. But having both Gresh and Taranto in there would take us to an 8.5 midfield.

Yes, but if its a choice between a 6 and a 7, im taking the 7...

The industry rumour is that it is very frosty between Cogniglio and Taranto.

would cost every bit of currency we have and leave us with nothing at draft time for 2 years.
Well then the Swans are just going to have to accept our 2028 & 2029 fourth rounders for Heeney then 😬

We don’t want to do an Essendon and trade our first two rounders for one player.
At 22, I think he's definitely worth it. Two first rounders for a 26 year old I'd be hesitant to do, but for someone who we'll get 10 years out of, I'd do it every day. Two picks in their teens could turn out to be two misses. Could turn out to be two guns, but the odds aren't high. Taranto is as close to a 10 year sure thing to be a gun.

A little while ago someone on here ( can’t remember who) said we were talking to a GWS player with tatts...

But don't forget a little while ago someone was talking about a Sydney player with Blonde hair.

And got an update from my cousin the barber. Heeney went in for another trim and is a LOCK. Everything else is a SMOKESCREEN.

I would 100%

We aren't talking about giving up two top 10 picks.

We will end up with a pick around 15 or 16 after free agency compos and that's even before the compromised draft pushes that pick back further.

I'd back ourselves to at least finish in a similar position next year.

Taranto was a former pick 2 that has also has the runs on the board at AFL level.

I'd happily hand them over.

A midfield of Steele, Taranto, Jones and Clark is enough to take us to the next level

Taranto is not Sheil and would be worth every bit bit of two firsts.
Next Year
Steele
Jones
Hanners
Gres
Clark
Ross
Taranto

Bytel
Byrnes prospects

Hill and Billings as wingers

Marshall and Ryder rucks

Our guts doesn't look skinny anymore. Rather it has got a lockdown covid spread about it.

I love Gresham but Taranto is better than him as pure mid. I agree that we'd be better with both. To me Gresham's ideal role is Robbie Grey or De Goey style forward mid. I'm more trying to work out how we think we'd get the deal done. We must be giving up something.
