Wouldn't the net result be the same? No way the Bulldogs wouldn't match the bid on JUH.
Ummmmm LOL yeah they will match the bid. The question is if Adelaide want to have the prestige of pick 1 in the draft or cool to settle with pick 2....and whether they want to piss off the doggies by destroying their picks for this and next year.

The AFL have released the WA testing results (top 5).

Winder top 5 in every category and Chris Walker did well too. Carroll did well in the leaps but didn’t finish top 5 in either speed, endurance or agility.

Dogs might be able to buy off the Crows.

The team upgrading usually pays an extra 20-50%.

That gives the Dogs https://www.draftguru.com.au/pick-value-calculator#20,30,37|

If the Roos decide to bid, the Dogs will have enough points.

Good to see Chris's athletic traits reminding recruiters of his potential.

I think Chris Walker is in a very good position right now to be drafted.
From all reports we will have 2 Cat B list spots available. Leno Thomas will have one and the other is vacant. It can only be filled by an NGA or an international player from Ireland or the like, which is not going to happen this year anyway. As Walker and Western will likely be taken in the main draft, we will have a spot in the Cat B list for the next best NGA prospect. Right now, Chris is putting a deposit on that spot...

Just a reminder that the Colts GF will be televised tomorrow (from 12 noon) on 7 or 70HD if you can't get to Freo Oval. A chance to watch our Shai Bolton in waiting, Joel Western, play in his second Colts Grand Final. Claremont should go in favourites but Subi were awesome against East Freo last weekend so who knows who will win?

Peel Thunder speedster Isiah Winder showcased his athletic capabilities in front of AFL recruiters at the WA draft combine this week.

The exciting draft prospect finishing in the top five in each of the six categories including first in the vertical jump (76cm), left foot vertical jump (92cm) and 20m sprint (2.873 seconds).

Winder, nicknamed ‘The Wiz’ by his WAFL club, is one of five WA draft hopefuls to play senior footy this season, earning his spot after a blistering start in the colts.

A trio of first-round fancies topped the 2km time trial, led by West Perth defender Heath Chapman with a time of 6.20.

Nathan O’Driscoll (6.23) also posted a sub-6.30 time, with his Perth teammate Logan McDonald (6.33) and athletic South Fremantle giant Shannon Neale (6.35) just over.

O’Driscoll’s pace off the mark and ability was also on display, topping the agility test with 8.12 seconds to go with a sub three-second time in the 20m sprint (2.931) to finish second.

Falcon Kellen Johnson was another eye-catching performer with top-five efforts in five out of six events.
Johnson won the right foot vertical jump (94cm) and was among the best in the vertical jump (73cm), left foot vertical jump (84cm), 20m sprint (2.982 seconds) and agility (8.27 seconds).

Swan Districts intercept-marking machine Denver Grainger-Barras did his top-five draft chances no harm with a sub three-second sprint (2.993 seconds), blistering agility test (8.13 seconds) and huge left foot vertical leap (87cm).

Is O'Driscoll a better version of Acres?

Has a lot harder approach that Acres, not afraid to put his body on the line and go in very hard after the ball. Not quite as big as Acres but a lot faster at the same point in his career, as shown by the 20m sprint speeds above (Acres was 3.1X seconds if I recall correctly?). Also better general mobility and agility than Acres.

Haven’t seen him play but those traits sound Dangerfield-like? Explosive burst from stoppages?
