Western Bulldogs = 45,954
Under 1000 more members than NMFC in a year they are genuine premiership contenders.

Would the Dogs and their supporters be disappointed with that total?

You have to remember that the Bulldogs had 6,000 less members than North the year that they won the flag, and had a ~20% increase the following year. They've been able to maintain that, which I'm sure they're happy about.

Don't forget North has given away a heap in last month.

Given that there no standard price for a membership, comparing numbers is pointless anyway.

AFL membership numbers are more fudged than Betts’ hair. Additionally, I’d prefer the revenue from membership sales was disclosed as opposed to just the membership ‘tally’.

In all honesty, they could well be 83,000 as quoted by another poster. I guess we will find out at the cut off. Great numbers if it is 83,000+.

I actually think with the way the club is at the moment 80,000 it terrific and shows the loyalty of the Magpie Army. It will be very interesting to see what a premiership does to its memberships numbers. You would think 100,000 is the minimum but could easily push upto 120,000 with Collingwood’s massive fan base Australia wide. Be similar to Essendon who are around 80,000 and Carlton who are on 81,000 members
