Lower than it should be. I know that many dogs supporters that are avid followers not just casuals but they don’t buy memberships.

You have to remember that the Bulldogs had 6,000 less members than North the year that they won the flag, and had a ~20% increase the following year. They've been able to maintain that, which I'm sure they're happy about.

Last Wednesday I was told 78,499.

Would be very surprised if it’s 83K. Hope we’re very close to 80K.

It may be 83,000. I’m just wondering if the 83,000 includes the women’s and netball unique memberships because when they respond to me they’re careful to put ‘AFL’ members specifically… Who knows!

Great numbers all round considering the current climate, covid, the sentiment of the game.... the disruptions on many fronts arent hindering the membership numbers too greatly .

I'm sure the answer is in here somewhere, but i'm being lazy and a little naive, do Adelaide/Freo produce numbers?

AFL membership numbers are more fudged than Betts’ hair. Additionally, I’d prefer the revenue from membership sales was disclosed as opposed to just the membership ‘tally’.

I actually think with the way the club is at the moment 80,000 it terrific and shows the loyalty of the Magpie Army. It will be very interesting to see what a premiership does to its memberships numbers. You would think 100,000 is the minimum but could easily push upto 120,000 with Collingwood’s massive fan base Australia wide. Be similar to Essendon who are around 80,000 and Carlton who are on 81,000 members
