One can only dream but if miraculously we got a start of first round PP - you would take both Horne and Roberts.... Our midfield with them, Berry, Schoenburg and Pedlar would be sorted for the next decade.
I cant see us coming 18th and yes.. youre dreaming that if we do we will get a PP..

Can you imagine the carry on from purple, Kornes, mcclure and the other crows hating media flogs if there was even a sniff of Adelaide getting a PP..

Our wins against two top 4 teams in geelong and dees would be the angle they’d use.

Those two wins were great for the club and the young players.. but shot down any remote chance of us getting a PP this year..

I think if we had a Simon Black we wouldn't be looking at pick 1 or 2.

The fact you continue to ignore our midfield is horrific and we have had bucket loads of picks to have a quality midfield and that's ultimately on Hamish, development and coaches.

So if any of Milera, Jones, McHenry, Gallucci, Poholke are/remotely tracking of any significance then they should have replaced at least one of our hacks.
Schoenberg, Pedlar and Berry plus this year picks will give him 10 cracks at getting a decent midfield and he also has had picks 17 Doedee, 12 Fogarty, 6 McAsey, 2 TT, 28 Worrell to use to get a matching winning midfield so the fact is they have failed badly so far.

We will have 18 selections under pick 30 after this draft. The dogs had 12 in their 2016 flag.

It's been an epic fail so far as games are won in the midfield and wonder why we aren't winning with our group of elite turnover kings.

There's no excuses or hiding if there isn't a dramatic improvement next year.
Bulldogs had 3 top ten picks in the years leading into their 2016 flag and nailed all 3. Bont at pick 4, Stringer at 5 and Macrae at 6. These 3 played a huge part in their 2016 success. Just shows how important it is to make the most of your opportunities when you get access to the pointy end of the draft. This is your best chance to find those high quality mids that you can build a premiership around.

It is so important for us to find that high end mid with our first pick this year if we want this rebuild to be successfu. And also for Pedlar and Schoenberg to continue to develop towards that level.

I was saying he's not a great pick, but people on here would be calling for Hamish's head again if we picked a sub 185cm mid who wasn't running sub 2.9 sec 20m.
I think that's ok, if the person had truly elite skills, timing, class, courage and vision, ala Simon Black.

People can see these things.

Its when you pick a 185cm sub 2.9sec person that's also relatively average at the other elements, that's when people crack the shits.

I kinda got excited reading this, then I remembered we actually could have all but one of those players next year and got even more excited. So even with no Horne the midfield is building.

Just gotta start playing them there.

If we managed to finish last and nab pick 1.
We grab Horne and then trade our 2022 1st for GWS 1st this year and next?

So would be we give pick 1 or 2 to them in 2022

We get pick 4 this year (Collingwood pick) and next years Giants 1st (
pick 8ish?)

Therefore we grab Horne and Roberts this year and still have a 1st next year ..

pass. Why not rebuild with pick 1 next year as well as Horne. I wouldn’t trade pick 1 for Roberts and a mid to late first.

Not saying I disagree, but I think I'd have to burn the place down if we were to get 3 spoons in a row.

If we lose to the Hawks tonight then it will all come down to Rd 23, the Horne Cup. I thought we were no hope halfway through the year. Imagine having two absolute rolled gold A listers in Thrill and Horne and they’re both South Aussies.

We wouldn't even have to tank vs north

Does Tarryn Thomas count as another example of Hamish's failure to identify any talent?

You don't think he's that good?

He doesn't play midfield, but seems to be silky.
