Dont be a fu**head

Take it up with afldraft page
you're the one being that, I said he's a tall midfielder so you go to Google and think I'm wrong...I'm not I have actually seen him play both live and streamed, he's not 181cm.

Ed Pascoe is AFL draft page.

Oh and I was wrong he's 194cm according to Chris Doerre.

Also showing ample potential was Mitch Knevitt from Vic Country, who was seen predominantly through the midfield at an imposing 194cm. Knevitt won some of his own ball, displayed a high work rate and was a marking threat around the ground. The tall midfielder gathered 22 disposals, six marks, four clearances, four inside 50s and two score assists on the day.

I did not think you were wrong. I wanted to check his stats and put up everything associated. I realised his stats were for 1 game so I deleted them

Genuine question- but if Horne wasnt a South Aussie, would people on here actually want to finish bottom? I know people are desperate for a good mid, but I think there would actually be considerable damage to our club and its psyche by back to back spoons
No we wouldn't, we don't even know how good he will be at AFL, history is full is junior guns who never made it, and late bloomers who weren't rated as juniors but made it.

Like you say, we are looking for mids, he's the best mid, but how good is he?

Is he as good as Walsh? Probably not, not many will be.

I seem like I am alone here, but I think a spoon is incredibly damaging. Some clubs just never recover, and others never really rise (think Carlton, St Kilda…). If we want to be a proud and respected club, we should be trying as hard as we friggin can to avoid a back to back spoon imo.

This is BF and its a good question. Certainly top 5 player. Our recruiters would mess it up anyway. Just watching the PA game. 2016 we took Gooch before SPP and Marshall. Both out there for PA but Gooch gone. 2019 we took McAsey at 6 and PA took Bergman and Georgiades. Both them out there but our pick struggling in SANFL

Did getting the wooden spoon last year 'damage our psyche'?

No it means that height is incorrect, I saw him play locally here in Ballarat at CE Brown Reserve Wendouree in round 2, he's at least 10cm taller than Ben Hobbs who he matched up on at times. Your Google search is just plain incorrect.

eDPS put this fella straight it seems he won't take my word for it.
He was 192cm last year and is now 193cm.

Who cares about the Power?

All clubs can point to players taken that other clubs missed.

id rather horne than finish 17th and so would anyone with a brain.
I guess the point I was trying to make is that if we actively accept and indeed want mediocrity and failure for the club, that is what will happen. also we act like Horne is somehow going to be Dangerfield/Martin/Oliver/Neale all in one. Anyway, if people have different views all good - just a genuine question if the views would be different if the supposed stand out was say a Vic Metro private schoolboy as opposed to a South Adelaide kid…

Carlton hasn't recovered since they banned Brown paper bags.
Saints 1 flag in 148 years

So I don't think the spoons have any effect on these clubs.

One beens a party club most of their existence and the other has bought premierships.

Both have spent way to much money on average recruits this time around.

Getting the structure and structures right is far more important than winning a game against a 17th place side.

If we had Horne we would start to see a midfield that could contend:

Horne, Schoenberg, Pedlar, Berry, Laird

That's a stacked half forward line

Those clubs were long damaged before their spoon happened. Like we were we damaged for a while before it culminated with a spoon.

A 6 win spoon is a rare feat, so likely it's not that damaging on it own. Just a bit of bad luck as we did everything we feasibly could to avoid it.

Goaters kick to handball ratio is good, and 11 marks 😃

Interesting Matty mentions Panthers running machine Isaac Birt a player I've liked ever since last year's SANFL U17's futures Match.
