Yes. A trade is one option:
"An offer to a Restricted Free Agent may be matched by their Club. Should their original Club match the offer, and the Restricted Free Agent Player does not wish to remain with their original Club, they must enter the National Draft or seek a trade."

I agree he can do the above, but it complicates whether he goes to NM rather than gets to NM, given he can if he choses get a matched offer from Richmond.
you were born with 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason. Now listen to what people are telling you.
I suggest you learn to read, and stop posting from a position of ignorance. A trade is one of the options I mentioned and I even bolded the relevant part of the free agency rules for you in a hope even someone of your cognitive limitations may be able to see it.

OK. So you just want someone to scold your stupidity.
get a dog if you’re lonely and need attention
“Richmond can just trade CCJ to another club” you said
^ Given your stuff up and troll behaviour I wasn't actually expecting an intelligent response from you. And you didn't disappoint.
Yes, read:
"Richmond coach Damien Hardwick believes outgoing Tiger Mabior Chol “probably needs a change” but says Callum Coleman-Jones’ recent trade request was “disappointing”.

What people haven't properly explained to you, is that CCJ is not a free agent ..he is out of contract meaning Richmond can't match any offers ..
for him to get to his prefered destination he needs Richmond to trade him or he can go to the preseason draft where we have pick 1 ..those rules you outlined were for restricted free agents
Correct. Also players have the right to veto any trade proposal, as do the club. A trade doesn’t get done without both parties agreeing. Richmond can’t simply trade CCJ elsewhere if he doesn’t agree.
Restricted FA or not, the is no right to match a contract in the PSD, completely separate drafting mechanism to FA.
Jack Watts boardthere’s a difference between debuting and being ready
Not surprising, seems a guaranteed 200 game midfielder.Apparently richmond keen on Hobbs
He aint just walking there.
If push comes to shove, Richmond can just trade CCJ to another club, and North Melbourne can again try to look for another 200 cm forward/ruck. Also as he is a restricted free agent, Richmond can simply match any offer North make in the PSD.
Max Michallaney any relation to Jim?Big year for SA talls, Harry Lemmey, Will Verrall and Isaac Keeler all look to have 1st round potential, then there's SA's Kobe Ryan, Adam D'alioa, Jaiden Magor, Matteus Phillipou, Jacob Ryan, Tom Scully, Max Michallaney who I think are all 2022 too?
yes son.Max Michallaney any relation to Jim?
There’s another one about to push through as well. Playing in next weeks intra state U15 champs.yes son.
West AdelaideKeays is that type, just doesn't have the finishing ability.Looking at the GF last night, it reinforced the importance of speed & power thru the midfield
Look at the most influential players from both sides ......Petracca / Oliver & Bont / Treloar ....pace & power to break away from packs, either using legspeed or strength
Players like Macrae who dinked the ball around & played his usual game, was good .....but he was not your game winner
So who are our players that potentially meet the game winning criteria ? ......IMO Schoenberg & Pedlar
Players who run & carry ...kick long ...and kick goals as mids ..they win games, finals games !

Not sure why people keep mentioning Horne. We aren't getting him and North aren't trading out pick 1. Also if he ever comes back to Adelaide it will be to the pear. Time to move on from him. Callaghan and Erasmus look the most likely types for our needs. They may also end up better players than Horne.Yeah agreed, was thinking very similar and it makes the development of Schoenberg and Pedlar quite important as both have this capacity.
But its also what we need to be looking at in the draft, Horne fits the bill but I just can’t see us getting pick 1 off the Roos without selling the farm and then some. Erasmus seems to fit the bill as well, powerful, strong overhead and a natural goal kicker.
Yeah Richmond will take what you give them. I hope you screw them over btw. They have pillaged the league for years and now their players are finally woken up and aren't drinking the Richmond underpaid coolaid anymore. What people haven't properly explained to you, is that CCJ is not a free agent ..he is out of contract meaning Richmond can't match any offers ..

West AdelaideProblem is both Pedlar and Schoenberg are 182cm players ...and Oliver and Petracca 187cm and 186cm respectively ...that's a big weight/strength differential that was obvious last nightPedlar really is key to our fortunes
If he can develop into that bull, game-breaking midfielder that can push forward (which he can IMO, given his base traits), we’ll be in a great spot. He’s no certainty to get there yet, though, and if he does, I feel like it’ll take him longer than we expect to get there (a la Petracca, 6 or so years)
Schoenberg looks like he’s on his way to ‘great mid’ territory. Pedlar is less certain, but if he can, they’ll make for a nice duo

Jordan Dawson? I readily have no feel on how good he is. But is a big bodied midfielder if we plan on playing him in the midfieldProblem is both Pedlar and Schoenberg are 182cm players ...and Oliver and Petracca 187cm and 186cm respectively ...that's a big weight/strength differential that was obvious last night
Don't think the Cripps big bodied mid works, as he lacks the legspeed .....Bont is a great example, where he can still break-away with his size
Oliver two years ago was 2:1 handball / kicks ....and was not damaging at all, despite getting the ball easily ....this year in particular, he's reversed the ratio and using speed and then kicking ....what a difference that's made to his game
Seems most of the junior mids handball too much or dink the ball 20-30 mtrs![]()
