I’m with you prefer a point of difference if it’s closereed, I certainly wouldn't be unhappy with Hobbs will be a great player, just unfortunate we can't get that point of difference
Pedlar Berry Keays with Shoenberg is enough of that type for meHaving Hobbs, Berry, Pedlar winning the hard ball would give us that mongrel we really need going ahead, you need your clearance beasts and Pedlar is certainly capable on the outside as well.
Pedlar is very very capable forward and has been all his junior career, also has burst speed similar or better than Schoenberg, we just haven't had the opportunity to see it just yet.Pedlar Berry Keays with Shoenberg is enough of that type for me
give me a mid / forward to compliment that if we can get it hence I’ll favour Erasmus or even the versatility of Goater

I think he'll be a good inside mid, but from what I've seen his kicking isn't great. I don't think we should be targeting inside mids with OK disposal.FWIW I'd be taking Hobbs 2021 over Caddy 2010 any day, far more complete midfielder and better at the midfield stuff. And still not afraid of the scoreboard. He's one of the safest picks in the draft. Taylor Adams/Selwood style footballer, not flashy, not super fast but none tougher.
Yeah that seems like what we should be aiming for re: grunt midfield rotation by 2025-ish. Laird back at HBF a la Matthew Boyd by thenPedlar Berry Keays with Shoenberg is enough of that type for me

Any chance we go for Hollands? Think he'd go 3rd in this years draft.
I'd actually offer pick 4+future first for Hollands+future 2nd+future 4th.
189cm damaging, skillful midfielder who can go forward. Adelaide supporter as well. I don't think theres a player in the draft like this?
No one's offering 4 and future first. He's out of contract for next years great GC exodus, and I'd consider going our first pick then if Rankosius doesn't look likely and the docs are happy with his knee.Any chance we go for Hollands? Think he'd go 3rd in this years draft.

Don't agree, having watched alot of him this year I actually don't think he's that quick. He's also very slight as have stood next to him in a restaurant and not strong through the hips or legs. He's like MHcHenry throws himself around and hits the pack at his maximum speed but in terms of chase down or get away speed not in the above average bracketPedlar is very very capable forward and has been all his junior career, also has burst speed similar or better than Schoenberg, we just haven't had the opportunity to see it just yet.

Yeah I rate him pretty highly from the few games I've seen. I reckon he'll be an excellent pick up and has gone under the radar a bit simply because he's not a pure mid. Also, I still think Josh Sinn is one of the most damaging players in the draft. He's your best metres gained player this year, run 30 kick 50 type, he'd be a wonderful asset

It will be interesting to see if Dockers or WCE are interested in moving up for Erasmus.Pedlar Berry Keays with Shoenberg is enough of that type for me

Unless we’re getting pretty good overs, I’d just keep Erasmus for ourselvesIt will be interesting to see if Dockers or WCE are interested in moving up for Erasmus.
If moving back to 6 and getting Goater instead and moving a 3rd or 4th into the 2nd round then I would be seriously looking at it.Unless we’re getting pretty good overs, I’d just keep Erasmus for ourselves
Closest player to Petracca imo.Any chance we go for Hollands? Think he'd go 3rd in this years draft.

Shoenberg quicker than PedlarI mean I can't complain too much if you think Pedlar is slight, seeing he's already got the strength to shrug AFL tacklers. That probably speaks to someone who could be capable of replicating Dangerfield/Cunnington strength around the ball.
Though I suspect you underrate his acceleration. It's not Jones quick, but he's certainly got some burst power/speed in that profile. Thinking back to that run against West Adelaide and some of his clearance work. Though Peds probably needs a clear run at it as he did get hampered with injuries throughout the year (inc a groin in the middle of the season). I'd have him as quicker than Schoenberg.
For mine - get Pedlar cemented in the AFL side by 2023, get him playing full-time midfield by 2025Shoenberg quicker than Pedlar
Agree re Pedlar - needs a year without injuries as that’s prob the main concern with him and his development

West AdelaideNot off the mark he's not and doubtful he's quicker over ground as well.Shoenberg quicker than Pedlar
