The advantage with that is we'll know who we got @7 before we start talking turkey with the above. This would be good IMO
7 Ward
Trade 15 & 28 to StKilda for 9
9 Erasmus
Trade 2022 first round selection to GWS for 13
13 Amiss
26 Bazzo
27 Zac Taylor
Really.Run away from the contest doesn't take much
Exactly.He might still be there at 15 (17) ?

Really.
Standing at the opposite side to someone like Jacobs says otherwise.
Did you see Bale Dale & Daniels delivery coming out of the dogs defence.Thats what we need to be honest.Players who can hit a team mate(Lynch or Jack preferably) on the chest.Fahey isn’t exactly a need. Would be disappointed if we took him ahead of Van Rooyen if he’s still there
This would be good IMO

and?Rewatch the grand final man
He might be gone. Mids (what we need most other than key forward/back) that might be available to us around out pick are Ward, Hobbs, Rachele, Draper and Sonsie. I would prefer Goater from what I have seen, (which isn't much) over them.He might still be there at 15 (17) ?
Yeah agreed that we need mids. I'd be wary of Rachele given he is more a small forward than a mid. The LAST thing we need right now is another Jack Higgins type that looks great in the u18s but at AFL level is good for about 10-15 possessions and maybe a goal. We have a dearth of players like that. We badly badly need genuine (jen-you-eye-n) midfielders, not just for the future but to re-top us off now whilst we have a bit of a window left. Definitely don't wanna see us drafting anymore Lennon types either, what a waste that was when we coulda had Cripps. He might be gone. If we go tall, which would be good as long as they are quality, then I'd hope he slips to 15, but I don't think that will happen. Tall, fast, aggressive mids are pretty sought after, looks to have a tonne of potential to me.
Goater went at 24 disposal a game which is not too shabby. His running and agility seems really good which separates him a bit from Ross and RCD. Bit of a cross between the two actually. But he has real speed, which is such a bonus in AFL these days.Yeah agreed that we need mids. I'd be wary of Rachele given he is more a small forward than a mid. As for Goater, yeah maybe, from what I've seen he doesn't seem much different to Ross/RCD. Where possible we really need that proper mid that gets 30+ and is everywhere. At 7 (9) I worry we're just outside the bracket of getting the player we need. If we take Rachele I'll be very upset. If all the mids are gone like Callaghan, Hobbs, Ward, we may as well just go best available and get the best defender in the crop. Not to meme but we need to stock up there too and Balta can play forward down the track if our defence is well stocked, so would prefer a defender over a forward. Then we can go the ball winners in the 20-30 bracket and hopefully still get some guys with size and the ability to accumulate.
But yeah, at 7 I badly want the top midfielder echelon and if we can snare Ward I'd be stoked.
7. Hobbsmy wish list on draft night
pick 7 ---one of these please..hobbs,,,ward,,,rachele,,,erasmus
pick 15----one of these please,,,sinn,,,goater,,,chesser,,,johnson...sonsie
pick 26,27,28 ,,3 out of these please,,,williams,,,bazzo,,,howes,,,willmot,,,aleer,,knevit,,long
Hate it.Just saw this trade suggestion on the Freo board and thought it had merit for us and GWS. Thoughts?
Hate it.
Freo give out picks worth 2699 points but gets back picks worth 3053 including a couple of firsts.
GWS give out picks worth 3729 points and gets back picks worth 3395
We give out picks worth 3485 and get back picks worth 3865.
I'd much rather try and do 7 15 & 26 for GWS 2 & 13. Which means we get our pick of the crop at 2 and Amiss/JVR at 13, while GWS gets Andrews another quality kid at 15 and has 26 to match a bid on Fahey.
Richmond 2,19 (7,15,26 out)
GWS 6,7 (2,13 out)
Fremantle 8,13,15,26 (6,19 out and keep 8)
Could someone please send this to all three clubs involved. The Fremantle person who came up with this gave it some really good thought.
What happened to Rachelle if Gold Coast go Gibcus and Adelaide go Callaghan?Thinking about the draft for 5 minutes

6. Adelaide - Callaghan/Rachelle
7. Hawthorn - Ward/Hobbs
8. Fremantle - Erasmus

Heard awhile back that we were very keen on Fahey.
Pick 15 we'll bid for sure if true.
Fahey isn’t exactly a need. Would be disappointed if we took him ahead of Van Rooyen if he’s still there
Didn’t think they could if it was inside the top 20 this year? Why worry GWS will match?
Didn’t think they could if it was inside the top 20 this year?
They can, but without trading in another pick they would go into a pretty sizable deficit matching a bid that early.Didn’t think they could if it was inside the top 20 this year?
anyone have a full list of the picks?Watched the Mock Draft on the HS site just now, why? Because I'm a sucker.
Anyway, they did a live trade between Richmond and Adelaide at Pick 6 (after bids) where Richmond give up 9 and 17 for 6 and 35 (plus future swaps)... and then select Ben Hobbs.
I can't see us doing anything like that when Ben Hobbs could be available at our pick anyway.
I get the feeling we'd only live trade for Callaghan..... maybe Ward.
