FAQs & Resources Thread

It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

I expect 21 and Breust for 13 would have been the trade.
Still not great for a guy who'll have maybe 2 to 4 years left. Would prefer to simply hand over the Essendon future pick. (And take the first round swap of 11/13 with Bombers to the draft!) That is still overs in my view but closer to the mark.

No counter offer?
An extra year and losing him for less is probably better than just the straight future 2nd. They will improve again next year so the value of the pick drops.

I’m in favour of being tough with this, Hill hasn’t managed this correctly so the onus is on him and Essendon to pay up.

The only guy I would look at bringing in re a possible trade is Dylan Moore. He’s newly contracted but is a nice player and if we were able to get him we could let Hill go. Doubt it happens but that’s the kind of player we would need to bring in.

Would be funny if they traded him to Collingwood for pick 27 just to piss off Essendon but unless Bobby changes his mind from Essendon to Collingwood he's going to be wearing orange next year
Which was similar to Shiel almost ending up at Carlton because fu**nuckle Dodo wouldn't come through with an adequate trade until told by his higher-ups.

Now it depends on your view of Shiel's importance to Bombers as to which way that warning shot falls - in or out of favour in completing the trade for Bobby.

What a sad situation Hawks willing to pay full freight for two players to play for us yet they say no thanks. We must be on the nose as a club. I heard from 3 list managers that Bruhn will nominate the cats after next season? what is going on are we checking flight risk before we draft players.

Makes it hard players leaving and no free agents will join us. The only players that stay are offered 5-10 year contracts on inflated dollars.

Bruhn commented earlier he planned extending.

Senior players who are contracted don't want to move their family interstate, reasonable stance. Nor do they have to.

This league has structural inequity built into it until there is trading of contracts. We will always have to overcome that
