Key Off-Season Dates
This is a comprehensive list including dates for draft combines, list lodgements, delisted free agency windows and return to train dates. I had to collate these from three different club websites because the AFL is lazy af and doesn't have it on their website, so thought it might be helpful to share:

FAQs & Resources Thread

It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

well Done Jason McCartney for given that clown Adrian the finger

Think in the end the trade period was pretty good. Sucks that Breust deal fell through because he would've been a great add on a reduced contract while we still get to keep a top 25 pick. Disappointing the Bobby situation got so ugly although I think it was the right move to keep him this isn't a situation we want make a habit of being in, I really liked the offer from Collingwood (27 + Third round pick) and if we had the permission of Bobby I would've taken that with how flat this draft is there's a chance we could get an impact player in that spot. Don't have to go over the Finlayson thing again but glad he's found a spot where he's happy, that's a move that's worked out for both of us with his contract coming off our books. I was never too interested in the Lobb deal didn't think he solved any problems for us or fill a need as I have faith in the guys on the list (maybe that's too optimistic) but if he was willing to take a big pay cut and it didn't cost a significant pick to get him then mabye it could've worked out but his contract and injury issues make me nervous. 2 top 15 picks is a good spot to be in for the draft, I think 13 ends up being moved to someone else could see it being moved in either direction to target a player a little bit higher (Rachele maybe) or take advantage of the flatness of the draft and move back a bit (Sam Butler?). Idk just some general thoughts on the last couple days, really like how we're positioned going into the draft and 2022 at this stage.

What a flat trade period all round

I suppose what we are seeing is the financial strain of covid and reduced list sizes. Only a few clubs have money to throw around meaning minimal movement.

For the giants it’s a net win. We keep Bobby and we didn’t waste anything on Lobb who I reckon is a bust. Shame we couldn’t get a mature player in but that seems to be the boat everyone is in.

If we want the list to get better we will need to get up the draft. I think rachele is a must… how we do that won’t eventuate until draft night but I’d be keen to split pick two… I just don’t really know who would have a tasty enough offer to do it.

Where did the crying story come from? Dodo has been quoted that he spoke to Hill and told him they couldn't get it done and wished him the best and Bobby was fine and was getting a tattoo done at the time.
Young said Hill called him up crying about going back to us

Me thinks Young wanted to get himself airtime on the doco theyre filming

Would be a good fit at Collingwood then.
Time will tell if this was a good move, at least Hill knows we are really looking to him to step up more in Tobys absence. Hopefully he starts in round 1 and plays well.

Gold Coast,Adelaide,Hawthorn want to move up according to Cal Twomey discussing with Barrett, SOS, Lloyd.
Would get lots of good future pick options from Gold Coast,
Hawthorn probably ask for 5,24 for 2,2022r2.
