Key Off-Season Dates
This is a comprehensive list including dates for draft combines, list lodgements, delisted free agency windows and return to train dates. I had to collate these from three different club websites because the AFL is lazy af and doesn't have it on their website, so thought it might be helpful to share:

FAQs & Resources Thread

It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

Would be very open to moving back a couple spots to then still select Butler, seems to be a fair bit of movement all throughout picks 10-20 so moving back a little bit and still getting our guy plus an extra pick makes sense. Don't think there's too much danger of Butler getting nabbed by another club in that range and if he does there is still options left on the board for us to take.
I don't mind moving back a few spots, the player I think we are after will still be available. Wouldn't want to risk too many, depends what's offered...certainly not bothering if it's a late pick this year...a future...sure.

Im hoping we go the other way and try and grab one of the other 4 we want.

If Gibcus is still available at the Saints pick and we have something they want and they are still confident they can get NWM at 15...I can see us giving up a future. The Fahey bid makes things tough in this draft.
I think we will take a player at 13(15) that will bolster our defence.
I can't see them going with Sam Butler.

OK, last thought - just get Callaghan with #2 (presumably dropped to #3 after bidding on Darcy). He will add to our team.

After that, hey, I'm just not sure, Surprise me! If Gibcus drops, he'd be great. If Erasmus drops, reckon he'd be fine too. Butler OK. A few later picks I'd be comfortable with too. Trading into a future first I can live with.

This will be an interesting draft night.

Happy, very happy actually, with our two picks so far. Finn is beyond talented and Aleer fits a need and also has a ton of athletic abilty.
With Fahey dropping to the second round, or more, we wont go into deficit to get him.
Wonder if we will do some pick trading over night and maybe get a young winger/mid named Howes.

Ecstatic with Finn - he's going to be a great addition to the team.

Happy enough with Leek - on one hand we probably picked him a bit early IMHO (maybe not if you follow Knightmare  ) but on the other, we didn't * around and just got the guy we wanted to add to our team. He will have to tidy up his disposal but his intercepting can be sublime. Add Josh Fahey tomorrow, and that's a really decent draft haul.

I presume that we'll add Jason Wehr and a rookie - have to see who gets through tomorrow night to consider who might value add to us. (Though, like others, I wouldn't be averse to some dealing of next year's picks if there's someone there we like tomorrow night.)

Tough to be disappointed by our first round to be honest, any time we walk away with a super talent like Finn who fits a need for us right now while also addressing a long term need for us (can't imagine Leek plays much if at all this year, barring mass injuries). Leek was probably a bit early if the AFL valued him similar to the general media consensus and we probably had a decent chance of grabbing him tomorrow night. Interested to see how they address the forward half player that we were all thinking would come at 15, maybe they trade back into the second round and add one of the guys they were looking at or maybe they like the look of some of the delisted talent out there. Can't complain too much, hoping we see these guys in orange for the next decade.

I can definitely see Leek getting some games next year. With Keefe and Buckley still out and Phil Davis still powering through but lacking his former athleticism, and Stein probably just not quite cracking it. Leek is the perfect second key defensive back. Played the full year in the SANFL, I think he's close to plug and play once he's across the new structures.
We picked up Sam Taylor with pick 28, I understand Leek was projected to go at about the same range....says a lot about our confidence in him if we selected him at 15.
As far as our forward line....that's going to be the mystery this year. Especially for those first five weeks without Toby.

Brander, Bobby, Hogan, Himmel, Stone, Daniels, Bruhn?, Riccardi,

Stevie J is gonna have to work some magic.

Taranto the wild card in the forward half.

I have high hopes for both Bruhn and Stone and feel one of them may jump in there on a semi permanent basis.

We also have old faithful in lloyd who will do a job.

True!
Lloyd is Mr consistent. I'm sure we will see Stone have a bit more of a go of it next year.
I like what Taranto is capable in the the forward half...I just think he's so dynamic and damaging around the ball in the midfield so I prefer him there.
We will go back to wondering what the form of our captain will be like. It took Ward a year after his knee injury to come back properly....let's hope Cogs has built some confidence in the off season.
Brander is a wildcard...going to be a fascinating preseason to see who can make spots their own.
