2021 Memberships Released

Whilst it does enbiggen our numbers some might suggest it also encheapens current memberships.

I didn't take up the the free M/ship as all my family are Carlton/MCC Members.

Instead I called the Club and got a credit on this years M/ship which is equivalent to the free M/ship.

I know quite a few who have done the same as I have.

Didn’t know that....we have a family membership and I signed a mate up thinking that was it a couple of months ago (good investment IMO for the club).

Got an email for the wife just yesterday as she is entitled to one as well apparently, might do the credit thing as all other mates that are Carlton supporters are already members.

I’d prefer credit for the Carlton shop though, need some gear. I’ll call them next week to see what we can do but good to know about getting credit back[emoji106]

I didn't realise we could do that. I didn't take up the offer as I thought there would be little or no chance of getting to a game with that type of membership anyway. I might give the club a call and get the credit too.

I bought a couple of memberships just now. I chose the option for monthly installments and was surprised that what it actually meant was pay 50% of the total transaction today and the rest in monthly installments lol.

The instalments season actually kick off in November, that’s why the club has had to backdate the payments from the start 5 months ago...

Sounds like a membership for 22 games is going to be tricky for that type of membership this season if you wanting to go most weeks.
Listening to Brendan Gale it seems for clubs in this state, the home club gets bigger allocation of tickets in this Co-Vid situation.
Sounds like about a few thousand tickets for Carlton members and that is it for this first game as away club.

I suspect if you got some type of MCC membership it will be easier to go.
AFL members area should be not as bad as general area of ground because there probably more AFL Carlton Club support numbers in that area than Richmond so probably more even split there.

But overall if crowd 50,000 it probably only going to be 10,000 that can be Carlton supporters here this first round.
Hopefully by next Tuesday they can increase it beyond 50,000 for this game.

I'm hoping, not expecting, to hear some news later today or early tomorrow morning that they increase the capacity from 50% to something like 70% which would allow another 20K in Thursday night's game.
Unlikely, but still hoping.

Anyone else have issue trying to contact CFC? Specificly the shop, ive left 3 messages to return my call as they never answer.... Still nothing, ive messaged the website also, no response all over a week now.. i even tried calling the membership and no one picks up the phone.. Really bad CS... I ordered something over 5 weeks ago and cant even find out whats going on with it.. very frustrating..

I haven’t seen whether anyone else has mentioned this, but the AFL and clubs are still trying to sort out details for Digital Club memberships. These are memberships which mainly provide access to the AFL Live pass so that fans interstate and overseas can watch the footy. Unfortunately, the Kayo deal between Telstra and Kayo has caused problems here.

I’ve contacted Carlton a number of times, and they assure me there is a deal in the works similar to the deal for existing Telstra customers, where paid up digital AFL club members will be able to access Kayo for a reduced monthly subscription.Unfortunately, the timelines seem to blow out on this. But the club assured me all parties are working on sorting this out prior to Thursday night. We’ll see.

Anyway, I’m really just putting this up as info for any Carlton digital members.

Further to my post yesterday re digital memberships, I just thought I’d inform the club communicated with members in this category today. The end result is a 7 month free subscription to Kayo for the duration of the season. This is a great result... and thanks to whomever (the AFL probably) was involved in negotiations. Now I can watch the game on Thursday night. Go Blues!!!
