I was so bitterly disappointed when Freo didnt make it to the GF back in 2015? I think it was when they choked v Hawks in the Prelim. Looking forward to a Derby Match in the GF, would have been epic. Instead the Hawks played a Home GF instead.

You guys would have actually had another flag to your cabinet if they had won.

Anyways, good excuse to relive the memories of 2005 Dream Final on here.

I think from memory they would have been without Fyfe, Pavlich and McPharlin so no doubt if we had played them and won, then the neverending list of excuses would commence

I’m with you, although as much I was happy it wasn’t Port Power, Richmond was a fairly nauseating alternative It was truly a case of wanting neither team to win lol

Eagles did it, winning the AWAY GF v Pies in 2018, when you were clearly a better side then them and yet it took you till the last two minutes of the game to roll them.

It proves just how huge the advantage is for Victorian sides.

That was an epic GF, I still laugh with Eagles fans of when Darling "dropped momentarily" the 2018 Premiership Cup deep into time on of that Grand Final.

It’s kind of sad that the only person I’ve heard be sympathetic to the bloke who was knocked out, was Jack Riewoldt. And that includes comments from Tex and Sloane.

Brodie Smith did as well, he had this to say:

“It is a tough one. He’s probably expecting Jake to kick the footy and then realised he’s held on a bit longer and he’s gone at him. Once Jake got rid of the footy he decided to bump, so I think that’s the big moment there – he did decide to bump Jake.

Yep... the odds are well and truly stacked against us (non Victorian teams). It is such a conundrum. I mean I understand the need for the non Vics to “band” together so to speak. But I find both Fremantle and Port Power so repulsive so that idea is immediately quashed. God if it is a Collingwood v Port/Fremantle grand final, get me a black and white beanie because I will be an honorary Pies supporter for a day! It’s a complex web the VFL have weaved and it is mostly by design.

Oh Jack. He is always good for a hilarious moment each week, god love him Honestly though if the worst came to worst in that game, I fear of what would have happened to him. I think he would have retired there and then. Seriously.

Oh of course, yes that’s right. Unfortunately we have now hit that pesky time of year (April to September) which as we know, is where the Port premiership hangover can kick in, some years worse than others mind you!

Seriously, who would ever think they ain’t going to lose a game? What does that do for your psyche when the dream is shattered.

It is the same that people think North Melbourne won’t win a game. They will, when? Who knows but it will come just like it did for us last year, we were always going to win a game at some stage.
