In regards to a sackable offence though IMO, it would have to have been completely unprovoked. Im not excusing the behaviour I just dont think he will be sacked over it, assuming what has been said is remotely true.

The tackle was pretty bad, but what he did next was much worse. Dragging a clearly concussed player a long the ground, then dropping his 110 kgs onto him until he was dragged off by a couple of crows. Just wish we had someone to fly the flag for the little fella. Lycett didn't deserve to walk off the field.

Damn right. I'm not sure you can coach that kind of mongrel though. This is likely the result of Hamish drafting good boys from good families. None of them want to get their hands dirty to defend a teammate. Would be nice if just once we could draft some big ****ers who are rough around the edges and like to fight. Not saying I've ever rated him that highly but we could really use a Mitch Robinson type.

I have just learnt this over time, you need to know all the players involved (by players I mean who did what to who on that night) and hear their version of events.

Are you really trying to paint a 100+KG ruckman sling tackling the smallest player on the ground (who just happens to be an agitator that was probably singled out for attention before the game) as being just an innocent tackle that went wrong? It was malicious, and Lycett deserves his moment in spotlight. This 'woe is me' angle he's trying to take is laughable.

Warren Tredrea gave Lycett 3 votes for the medal.... I'm sorry but if you comitt a reportable offences during the game you shouldn't be eligible for any on field awards for that game as you obviously haven't played fairly.

Is this a common sense thing? Like surely this shouldn't be allowed? How many players have got Brownlow votes in the game they committed the act that they were suspended for??
