What clubs are banging down the doors to get players who can’t get a game in their first 2 years of AFL?

Let’s wait to see how they go once the Vic clubs get into Butters and Derrsma.
Yes because clubs judge young ruckman based on the their first two years when injured for part of it and stuck behind two quality ruckman. Take your Port hating goggles off.

You have a really annoying habit of making more of my posts than need be.

I made one comment. If that's too much for you put me on ignore.
Calm your farm.

You're the one saying they keep all the players they want, like we don't ??

Ummmm

Sam Hayes was recovering from an ACL sustained at training late 2018, played some really good footy in the SANFL late in 2019...and 2020 being what it was he was hardly likely to displace Lycett or the more experienced Ladhams in a contending team.

Sam Hates can play and obviously is being groomed for when Lycett finishes.
Lycett has a five year contract and is only 28. Not sure I'd be wanting to wait for him to retire to get a game

You're discounting the possibility that he goes past Lycett in the next couple of years.
Hayes was the clear standout ruck prospect at the 2017 U18 Championships and the only reason he slipped down the draft were concerns about his endurance after he tested poorly in that area at the Draft Combine. He can play!

So you did read too much into my post and have tried to judge my intent based on your interpretation.

I passed a comment that they have a very good retention rate of players they want to keep, that’s it, I stated a fact.

As for our player retention, are you trying to say we keep all the players we want to? C’mon.

In the last 3 years I'd say we have, before that..... Struggle street.

Man you're touchy sometimes.

Fascinating. So zero games then. What other clubs were beating down the doors to sign him up recently?

Obviously plenty, at least that's what the Port Propoganda Machine will tell you.

Or our 2 Intrepid posters.

Kieran Strachan signed a 2 year deal with us just a few weeks ago. And he’s actually played a game of AFL.
If we're both still around in 4 or 5 years time I'll gladly revisit the relevant AFL careers of Sam Hayes and Keiran Strachan with you.

Having seen at least 2 of those games I'd have to agree, but I don't think he'll go past Lycett in the next 2-3 years, and by then he'll be up for another contract.

Sure thing boss. No other club would have been banging down the doors to get a contract in front of Strachan, just like no other club was going to do the same for Hayes, which is why he went pick 47 and had endurance concerns before putting on weight and doing a knee.

All I know if Hayes was Crows player I'd have been keen to re-sign him too after putting that much time into him. Way more AFL potential than Strachan.

What it shows is we live in a 2 team town, most other clubs this probably wouldn't rate a mention.

Even moreso with Strachan.

Rob Harding will be busy this year. Signed on with the Redlegs as the Football Services Manager, which includes coaching Reserves and being Jade Rawlings lead assistant in the SANFL side while basically being in charge of football operations for the team.

Is this award a joke. Service to umpiring nationally. Does that include bad umpiring.? I dont know the others but they may have received their awards for long service. Eleni has been on the national scene a short time.

Recipient of the OAM
John Corless (service to community football in Queensland);
Eleni Glouftsis (service to umpiring nationally);
Chris Halbert (service to football history preservation in South Australia);
Fred McMahon (service to country football in Victoria);
George Voyage (service to amateur football in Victoria);
Peter Warner (service to community cricket and football in Victoria);
Alan Wickes (service to VFA and community football in Victoria).

It's a good news story, that's all.

She's genuine garbage.
