SA/Vic travel restrictions and we are five weeks from the start of the season. You'd have to think the AFL is dusting off the plans for hubs and preparing to run the season outside Victoria. They would not be making the decision now, but they'd have to be working out when is the last day they can make a decision.

I get that, but that's the message internally.

By stating this in the public forum only adds pressure should things start going shit.

The media will jump all over it should they lose games early on that they should win and the pressure builds.

Hmmm, could the Tennis have sacrificed the start of the AFL season in Melbourne...

I think it was to wrong to run the Aus Open so I'd love to kick the decision, but I think the 8 cases are from the non-Tennis hotel, and there's only one case from the Tennis hotel.

Victoria is starting to look "unlucky" though

I actually enjoyed the season ending later in 2020, its made the transition from one season to the next a lot shorter.

They've just announced that there will be no Anzac Day parade. Hard to see how there can be crowds at the footy....except for the fact we have crowds at the tennis, of course, but surely games in Melbourne are look less and less likely

Vic clubs will always spend more than they earn .... it’s why the National Comp was started, and they always work on future earnings

People say we should fold Gold Coast because of the market and historical performance of other sports ..... why would you then seek to add another “social welfare” club ??

They've gone far too early on that IMO. Tennis crowds have been in around around 20K daily which is easy enough to control.
