And you're a joke if you think stepping onto a football field means you need to accept the risk that a person twice the size of you will sling tackle you and give you a brain injury.

Switch the players to be Tex against any port small, and you'd be calling for his ******* head. Hypocritical losers the lot of you.
I mean they call for his head without him doing anything

I work in mental health. So this hits home for me.
If fans of port did the same thing I'd be hoping the club called them out and cancelled all their memberships these people are a ****ing disgrace. I've seen and worked with youth who have killed themselves on the back of online bullying. Get real , this was a unfortunate football action on the field and he'll pay the price and so he should.

There you go again, minimising brain injuries.

Admit it, switch players and you would be switching your opinion.

It was a sling tackle. He timed it wrong , he didn't lift him off the ground. Not long ago this was the perfect tackle , it's not now.. He'll get weeks , calm down. Thug? Lol you'd think he's killed 5 children... He's been suspended what .. once before?

When we are trying to break down stigma towards mental health around online bullying with references of suicide and threatening families , do you not think this should be called out?

The pieces of sh*t have all deleted their accounts and ran for the hills..

Are you all there?
How about Tex's mental health? The amount of vitriol and abuse he cops from so many mouth breathing Port supporters on social media and being booed when he has done absolutely nothing wrong to any Port player or supporter at any point in time is pathetic.

Let me guess, you probably think it's OK because "bUt it's TeX LOLZ" yeah?

Don't you mop floors? I thought your nickname on the Port Board is MopBoy.

Not that there's anything wrong with cleaning work, just a stretch to say you "work in mental health".

Nope , if Tex is copping shit . Call it out. Every AFL footballer should be calling it out. These kids have deleted their accounts. It works.

In terms of being booed.. he gets booed everywhere, I've seen a few Adelaide games here in Victoria and the crowd go hard at him just the same.

The thing with you lot is you're not used to having opposition fans around , you're used to having 99% of the support at your games... Us Victorians get it, with 50-50 support here, the opposition can be feral in game day and get stuck in to them , that's what happens, some of you that remember turning up to SANFL games.might get it as well.. but what happens on the field should stay on it.

Ah it all starts to unravel now. So abuse is not okay if it's sent by social media, because it can harm mental health.

But if you cop it on field you just need to get over it and expect it. Like brain injuries from sling tackles.

It's time to leave little boy.

Brain injury really?
He's concussed,... His intent wasn't to injure him , it was a careless tackle during a football action. He didn't hit him from behind? It wasn't a gaff like action. Calm down.

You'd be an absolute idiot if you don't think online bullying encouraging suicide and threats to kill family shouldn't be called out.

He didn't smash a bottle over his head in the street mate.
I've been badly concussed in my life and the after effects hung around for years. Don't downplay shit you know nothing about dickhead.

If people are yelling at him to go kill himself during a game they should be ejected. If they're booing him like 99% are doing you can sit down and cop it. Seriously mate it's not ****ing rocket science.

Actually know a lot about it mate but thanks for your input. I hope your sort help for it.

Not downplaying anything in regards to concussion. Lycett like Dangerfield earlier in the year didn't intend to injure him. Move on.

And yet here you are defending lycett as if it was an accident!

So you get to decide the level of abuse that causes mental health problems?

Go speak to Adam Goodes and ask if booing shouldn't affect mental health.

You're out of your depth mate. You are arguing a point to specifically fit exactly the situation that the player on your team is facing, while minimising everything else. You are an absolute joke.

How the **** are you comparing the two situations here?

Booing Goodes was a racist as **** especially after he called it out.

If Tex calls it out and says booing makes him feel a certain way about himself then sure...

You are constantly shifting goal posts and are very clearly a shitty troll.

**** off.

He'll be fine mate but forgive the bloke who wants to expose online bullying encouraging suicide when he's had friends suicide. You're a joke if you think a footballer has to go through this.

If you work in Mental Health, you would know studies have shown the influence of a concussion can lead to many different brain illness.

But you are dismissing it as in “he will be fine”. Is that the same as saying Jacinda Barclay was fine when she had a few concussion, what about Danny Frawley?

Is he fine?

If it was (abd I hope not) Taylor Walker who did it to Connor Rosee, the attitude towards Taylor would be extremely ridiculous. I could not imagine the vitriol the Power supporter base would have said to him.

You clearly know nothing the way you are continually downplaying concussion in this thread.

So "everyone else does it so it's OK" yeah? Regardless, yes while Tex does get the odd boo interstate, it's nowhere near the venom that is spewed out by Port supporters come Showdown, even when considering bigger victorian sides and their crowds

Thankfully he has the kind of personality that handles and ignores it but that doesn't make it OK.

How am I shifting the goal posts?

In what world to you is booing of Tex the same as booing Goodes after he called it out?

Absolute lost cause.

The fact that you 100% miss the point, and then are oblivious even when it gets pointed out to you, shows how dumb you really are.

Neuropsych and mental health are different areas but yes I am aware. Repeated concussions/severity are often the issue here. There's also many unknowns untill the person is actually deceased and there's a post mortem.

Scott will pay a price for this, I just think telling a bloke to go and suicide as well as threatening their family should be called out.. if you're against this there's something wrong.
