Now for an unpopular opinion - first decision I'd make after they Olympic campaign for the Matilda's is a change of captain

Not doubting Kerr's ability, her current standing in world of soccer or importance to the national team, but I'm not sure she's the best person for the job nor that good as captain. The other thing I noticed during this campaign is that she came across a little sooky at times when things weren't going her way nor our way

Relieving her of the captaincy would also allow her to focus on her game and what she does best. It may also mean she isn't first one putting her hand up to take future penalties as they've long been a weakness of hers, and just maybe the coach would also acknowledge she can be subbed off if that change is required

We have so much to be proud of in terms of this Olympic campaign, but the next challenge is the World Cup on home soil in 2023 and there's clearly areas where we can improve
