Yeah. The prime was a long, long time ago now.
Amazing shit back in the day though. That was precision. Triple layered too. Recorded 3 times separately and all had to match up on tape. With no editing.

Arguably one of the greatest guitar downpickers of all time.
I remember when I was into guitars and learning music, spending months just crafting Hetfield's downpick technique. After 30 minutes of that, my hand felt like it was about to seize up. Once you get good enough strength and speed, there's no better way to play metal.

Surprisingly (or not), one of the best downpickers was Johnny Ramone. Or maybe fairer to say Johnny was one of the earliest to perfect the technique.
