There used to be a small single toilet on the fence line at that end, talking 25 years or so ago, that faced out to the public. It was truly scary. Scarier than all other public dunnies, and they’re all scary!

I stayed at a hotel once on Collins St (Rialto end), and up on the 33rd floor where the pool was- the toilet + bathroom nearby was like floor to ceiling windows.

Was ****ing bizarre.

Never went to the bathroom so quickly in my life.

Thread is reopening. And if I can suggest that in the future, if folks can feel themselves getting over emotional on subjects of discussion or they're going to cross the line, that taking a step back is a much better option

I drove past today after work and noticed they've installed traffic lights & pedestrian crossing on Moorabool St at the Ablett Terrace end

I guess after all these years of folks running across the street in front of cars that they've finally decided to take action

We have a regional (auto, dirt) race track that had the greatest male urinal ever:

A poured concrete floor sloped towards the interior corner, with a big drain in the corner. Floor and block walls covered with thick epoxy paint. Copper water pipe mounted on the wall, approx 1.5m above the floor. Holes drilled in pipe so water would constantly dribble down the wall.

Fire away, boys!

(They upgraded it to actual facilities about 10 years ago. Wish I had a picture, but taking one was likely to get you punched and your face shoved in the drain.)

Sounds slightly more rustic than the ones here. Slightly. Ours was a concrete block with stainless steel to pee on. That’s pretty much it.
