Still too cold for beach. But nice. I never get up early these days, but got up and the sun was already shining, dogs were already sunbathing on the concrete

I was there. ****ing a-hole prick. /was such a good night other than the result. Never heard a crowd so loud.

*i went swimming (pool) yesterday btw, it was perfect conditions.

The key is the wind- if its a freezing cold wind, then yeah too cold to beach. If its more gentle/normal wind, then for sure its warm enough to beach.

Yep. But lived up North for ages and got spoilt. Even when it's cold the waters still warm.
It's bloody cold down here. Even when its 30 degrees

I like the cold water. Its horrible when you initially get in I agree 100%, but after a few mins its fine.


The best way is to just jump in, quicker the better.

Yeah wind is what makes it suck. Went down to Port Fairy in winter a couple of years ago with a couple of other families.
And they were going "Theres a couple of nice days we'll take the kids to the beach"
I was like Do you know how f**king windy it's going to be?
Then we tried it and it was so windy you could barely walk down to the water

Went down AB in the winter once, was quite cosy- and the hostel had open fire places.

But swimming at the beach? Nah

I reckon English ppl would be the hardest core in going to the beach.

Any sign of sun, no matter how freezing, they'd be there.

I've think I've said it in here before but if I win lotto I wanna be a poor man's Sam Newman.
Instead of a house with a giant Pamela Anderson mural, I'd get a giant Crack Whore mural with no teeth etc.
And have a clapped out Lambo where those weird doors don't work properly and drive crack hoes around town in it and stuff
