And she's back with another braindead take...

Looking through the various lockdown rules for Sydney, this is one of my favorites

Remember that there's only 4 reasons to leave home and that you can go to Bunnings & Kmart as often as you like

Is retail still open?
Only "essential" retail stores and supermarkets are still open, but you should only shop for essential food and supplies when you need them.

"You can go out and buy anything you need any time of the day," Ms Berejiklian said.

AND while you can't visit family & friends, either at home or via outdoor gatherings, you can create your exercise group of 10 and meet that way instead. And it's perfectly fine to travel 50km to go to Kmart, buy that takeaway coffee and then meet your friends for "exercise"

Can I visit family/friends?
No, you won't be able to have visitors to your home or have gatherings during the lockdown.

Can I go out for exercise?
People are permitted to exercise outside, but not in groups of more than 10.

Can anyone else see this lasting for longer than the current 2 weeks because it's something of a half-assed lockdown?

Check out the condescending body language. While it's hard not to be sympathetic to the Sydneysiders who have to get through this, that courtesy doesn't extend to Gladys and her supporters, both in the media and Canberra, who think she can do no wrong and is superior to Dan Andrews and Victoria in every way. As I posted yesterday, Sophie Elsworth has even gone for the "this lockdown is better than Victoria's lockdowns" stance. I didn't think it was a competition, but here we are.

Any chance we can stop referring to NSW contact tracing as "gold standard" - firstly the Sandringham man who tested positive a couple of days ago and advised he hadn't been contacted by NSW Health, and now this

Apparently the reason the man from Sandringham wasn't contacted by NSW Health was because his daughter didn't include his name on a list of contacts who visited her when she was infected. Don't know how you could forget your own father, but in this case it seems it wasn't NSW Health's fault.

🤔 was he not meant to visit her

The airline one is bad though

Who knows?

Definitely agree with you about the airline one though. Ruby Princess mk.II.

I read a comment from someone on one of the flights - it was rather packed and a good number on board were connecting to other flights

Hoping no one board adds to the cases

winty i decided to tune into the NSW press conference this morning. The numbers for today are 30 new cases and I'm hoping I heard Gladys wrong but I'm sure I heard her say:

"11 were already in isolation which is good news"... What about the other 19?

Was just to post a tweet which mentioned the same thing.

It's like chalk and cheese listening to the press conferences of NSW and Victoria. I suppose you could argue we're a lot more experienced at them, but the NSW CHO was fumbling over her words and their presser was full of mixed messaging, whereas our CHO was clear and coherent in his messaging.

NSW covid - the gift that keeps giving

The Sandringham man a couple of days ago, and now it pops up in Perth

The same CHO to travelled to canberra during the lockdown, to attend some unimportant function?

Yeah he’s a real bastion of integrity.

It was actually a work conference he attended with other CHO's around the country in attendance, which just so happened to have an awards function in the midst of it, but whatever floats your boat.

Hey! We're taking delight over a state that is as slightly as incompetent as ours.
Don't wreck it.

I know right. 800 deaths and all that. Good job Dan 👍🏻

He even admitted it was a mistake. Take that red shirt off, cause it’s blinding you. All levels of government are incompetent. From both sides.
