I recall that being a big talking point in India about 6-7 weeks ago, but I’m with you, that would be an overstep for us in my view.....Put faith in the elected state government’s to do their job, Gladys has been openly critical of the Victorian government’s handling of COVID (seemingly brushing over the complete failure of the Ruby Princess) & now is their time to handle an outbreak, we’ll see how it unfolds. I will happily put it out there that I’m a Labor voter with a union background, but I certainly hope for the NSW government to get it under control, as people’s lives are more important than political bias.

Completely agreed. With that kind of sensible approach you'll stand out in here for sure!

There's little worth listening to, or watching, these days imo.
I should probably make a better effort to switch into the ABC morning news because at least that's more news and less BS then the commercial networks

It's not without it's issues, but this past month of watching morning tv while getting ready for work has just confirmed why I stopped watching them after I stopped my 6am starts

Well ****, and this all goes back to the Vic man who did 2-weeks domestic quarantine in Qld, in the same hotel as returned internationals who were quarantining

That's a situation which should never have been permitted to happen and then this guy wouldn't have flown into the NT and his mining job while infectious

Had an interesting call today. Customer called up and said he was going to be moving on Monday and wanted electricity connected at his new address. Advised there was a bit of a wait getting through to the correct department, but he was happy to wait. Went to transfer him through, then about 3-4 minutes later I went back to him to advise I was still in the queue, and all I heard was snoring. Went back into the queue and went back to him a minute or two later and he was awake again. A few minutes later I tried to go back to him and he must've fallen asleep again as all I could hear was snoring again. :tearsofjoy:

I guess there's a couple of ways to look at things - "most" were at home & in isolation, but a 3rd weren't & a 3rd of 35 is a lot more than a 3rd of say 3 where you're then dealing with just 1 person out & about

Was at the Asian shop this morning and there was a jar that said Cheese Bong so I had a look.
They were cheese flavoured fish sausages!
Who would eat that? That is the worst.

A lot of people

I know a few Asian eateries I used to dine at in Melbourne would have 2 versions of some dishes/meals - you could get your chicken curry, or you could get chicken curry baked with cheese

Also, how many tennis players have thrown up on centre court, not from injury but from nerves?

I switched over last night when the Tunisian had obviously just reached match point - though what I saw was the Tunisian crouched over at the back of the court & then throwing her guts up

It was what happened next which made me a bit more squirmish though - the Tunisian came back up to the line to take her serve, and in the background you could see the poor ball kid having to take their spot... Right beside where she threw her guts up

😂

NBC is running from its reality show "Ultimate Slip 'N Slide" ... after a bunch of folks on the crew experienced explosive runs themselves.

The network put the show on ice after members of the production staff experienced diarrhea ... apparently from some sort of parasite called giardia.

The show was being shot in the San Fernando Valley and almost reached the finish line with 1 week of production left, but it was too much. After multiple crew members got sick, production was indefinitely shut down.
