If anyone wants a real good laugh, apparently Matt Crouch did a big Dennis Schroeder and banked hard on himself getting 4 year deal literally anywhere outside of Adelaide. Told Adelaide no to their 4 year deal mid year. Shopped himself around and had Zero interest. Went back to Adelaide tail between the legs, and they have offered him 2 years on something similar to what we would pay ANB for example.
In fact, so big was the difference on crows initial offer and the secondary offer, it's cost him well over a mil.
If anyone owes Matt Crouch $20 bucks from high school, might be worth paying him back.

I reckon COVID considerations are in play here. His wife is pregnant and restrictions on travel to see family over the past couple of years have made a few people think seriously about relocating

If this is true that Cerra had a meeting with the club on Friday then this is pretty significant going of what this fella said.
The noise now seems to be that Cerra is leaning our way which is huge for this football club

i tell ya what, Cerra would be a massive get for this club. The significance cannot be understated. He's only 21 and is already a key part of an extremely talented freo midfield, we haven't seen him anywhere near his peak yet. Not only does he add the final piece to an already brilliant list by providing outside run and elite ball use but it's the effect this has as the club as a whole. This could see us becoming a destination club, we've never ever had that status within the competition and that is an incredible thing.
In terms of the actual deal, i don't know whether the whole Neale situation simplifies it or complicates it, we don't have a lot to give up but i think it depends on what Freo give up for Neale.
