Yes really not sure where else he can fit if it's not on a wing

I think running off half back and rolling into the wing is a great role for him. A big kick, good runner, tough as nails. Can do the Ziebel role when he retires.

Hey New_Roo , are you based in Melbourne? I only ask as I’d luv to know how to watch the SANFL GF? And so you know the time it is on?
Used to be great years ago, you could watch the SANFL and WAFL GF’s live on tv.

A neighbour of mine who is a Tigers fan and potentially has a degree of ITK told me Richmond know they really don't have any leverage in the trade so have been threatening CCJ's manager that if he ends up in the PSD then all his other Richmond clients will terminate his services.
That is not the decision of the RFC. That is up to the players themselves who they decide to have as their manager.
I don't think the players would look at RFC too fondly if they're being dicks.

It cant get worse.
Picks 30+ are historically crap.
You need like 8 of them to get a 200 game player.
Plenty of fantastic players have been taken higher than 30 mate.
Plenty of shit players have been taken below it too.
Guilden at 32, Lazzaro at 36, Mccreary at 44, Highmore at 45, Luke Edwards at 52 and Ford at 56 in 2020.
Rivers at 32, Warner at 39 and Riccardi at 51 from 2019
James Jordan at 33, Berry at 36, Vandameer at 37, McInerny at 44 and Hind at 54 plus some others in the 2018 draft.
Obviously I there are lots of duds but plenty of decent picks too mate.
Cant be too quick to discount the pick when a lot of the latter draft get chosen after those with hype fall away.

You are 100% correct. You can get a bargain.
every 7-8 picks in that range.
BF posters over rate third round picks.

No doubt the later rounds are more an art form but those stats are 13 years old so maybe a bit askew. Been some great players that never made 200 games as well, they just have to play good ones for us.

Stats couldnt be much more current than that.
You have to wait for all players to retire from that year.
Before stats would be relevant.
It is a similar pattern if you drop it to 100 games.

I'm surprised the salary dump option has taken so long to catch on. Space for picks is a no brainer and realistically with our space over the years we should have been all over it. Smack in the face for the AFL that its golden child Club has never made the finals and its salary dumping.
This is what I was confused about. Are we then doing the AFL a favour? And the welfare of GC’s future?

Historically pick 37 has been very good for us.
Goldy
Scooter
JMac
Ben Jacobs

I wouldn't call them crap.....

If your after an outlier pick its pick 6.
It has a similar fail rate to picks in the third round.
For some weird reason.

As drafting and recruiting gets better and better I think those stats will definitely increase.
I know most careers rarely go to 200 games but there will be a lot less 'dud picks taken but good recruiting teams in the last 5 years.

That fact he’d be bringing pick 19 with him is very nice for our rebuild.
Ok, im happy with that then. Thank you. If it was just macpherson and not pick 19 attached, i would prefer a proven plaer like Mitch Wallis for 2 years
