AFLW 2025 - AFLW Trade and Draft - All the player moves
Due to a number of factors, support for the current BigFooty mobile app has been discontinued. Your BigFooty login will no longer work on the Tapatalk or the BigFooty App - which is based on Tapatalk.
Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
I'm hopeful we can prey on the clubs with tight salary caps ala Steveo last year - Sydney or Collingwood this year based on the reportingReckon we might have 1-2 sneaky trades coming our way.
Got way too many list spots for the amount of picks that we currently have.
Especially with Dumont, Atley, TC and Ham all potentially going.

Not a fan of Flynn?I can see that.
I doubt the club trade 1 or 20. (20 will go on draft night)
So we wont be bringing in any superstars.
The uncontracted player list is a bit crap. There is only a couple i would be interested in
Flynn and Stack.
I dont think we need another ruck like Flynn.
Taz for CCJ straight swap.Taz is still our best FB. Hope we give them nothing for CCJ. Is 22 and can not get a regular senior game. If Tigers take Taz they lose FA compo for Chol. We can take CCJ in PSd. They need Taz more than we need CCJ. Tigers pick 28 & CCJ for NM pick 38 & Taz. Or GFO

How many tall forward /rucks do we need? Not a fan of Flynn?
Could fix our forward/ruck issues alongside CCJ in a single trade period for the next 8+ years.
Has AFL experience and does well in both positions.
Taz for CCJ straight swap.
Keep PSP for one of the guys still out of contract I reckon.
I think this trade burning bridge thing is fallacy.
Dodoro is universally considered the biggest trading prick in the game. Yet he gets multiple deals done every year.
Burn the bridges. Hell, burn the boats too.
Act completely in our own best interests. When we offer something other clubs want in the future, they'll quickly forget about the bad blood.
Other clubs are very quick to put us to the sword.
CCJ, main ruck. How many tall forward /rucks do we need?
He is good i agree. (he would come in as our second ruck behind goldy)
There is like 50 uncontracted players left. Flynn and Stack are the only ones that have really shown much at AFL level.
I rate Flynn, just not for us.
Goldy 34 next year, most likely has 1-2 more years left and needs help on field.Coleman Jones is effectively the same type of player as Jacob Edwardes, obviously a few years advanced so seems a strange pick up.
Yep if Richmond still trade with Carlton after the Yarran deal I think we’d be rightI think this trade burning bridge thing is fallacy.

Currently we haveCCJ, main ruck.
Flynn 2nd ruck/2nd tall forward option.
Larkey main key forward.
Comben/edwards developing/competing for position.
Its only like 4-5 talls in the forward line. Doesn't seem like a lot when you're running a 2 tall ruck system.
I don't think we'll have a solo ruck after goldy retires in 1-2 years, heck I dont think we'll have one next year.
The game's moving to more of a ruck on field game style to maximise rotations.
Richmond didn't think twice about tabling an offer to the vice-captain of the bottom club.
If we did it to them and reversed our recent histories, I reckon the AFL media would've reported it to the UN and Amnesty International.
Last year Melbourne dragged out the Brown deal to the point we took the deal they wanted us to take.
We are the Melbourne in this deal. CCJ wants out to us and is OOC. As you say we have a clear avenue for acquiring him for free.
There is no 'good faith' especially with them getting into Tarrant in the same trade period.
I don't think Xerri is in our future plans.Currently we have
Goldy, Campbell as rucks
Xerri, Edwards, Comben as r/f's (I doubt Comben plays much ruck due to his injuries.)
Campbell goes for CCJ. Who plays every week next year backing up Goldy.
I think we would be to tall adding another player like Flynn. Goldy has 2 years left minimum. Hopefully by that time Edwards is hitting his straps.
Its possible to over commit to the ruck position. End up having to many on a list.
Nobel likes playing two ruck/forwards in the same team and Edwards is still a school boy. CCJ looks like a good prospect who is ready for senior footy.Coleman Jones is effectively the same type of player as Jacob Edwardes, obviously a few years advanced so seems a strange pick up.
If Xerri wasn't contracted for 2022.I don't think Xerri is in our future plans.
Wouldn't be surprised if he gets moved on end of 2022.
Agree its possible to over commit but then it creates draft capital when they get traded away; something North doesn't regularly have.
You guys send a top ten pick away for a halfback that you want to squeeze into the midfield every year but we don't get involved in your business.Coleman Jones is effectively the same type of player as Jacob Edwardes, obviously a few years advanced so seems a strange pick up.
Absolutely, in our case it's not even being Dodoro level prick status, it's just using the levers which are in front of us.
The best outcome for the Roos is Tarrant as FA and CCJ to PSD. If we aren't using this as the baseline then we are kidding ourselves and not serious about doing what it takes to get our best possible team.
Ahh calm down dude, he’s just having a chatYou guys send a top ten pick away for a halfback that you want to squeeze into the midfield every year but we don't get involved in your business.
The only thing I’d quibble about here is the potential compo we’d get for taz I feel we’d be getting nothingThe AFL media in particular those who are Richmond supporters have really gone into overdrive on trying to condition the general public on what is acceptable in trade.
Earlier this week, it seemed that supporters were starting to see things like somewhere in the 20s + Tarrant for CCJ as being “fair”.
Fortunately at least some are waking up to what’s happening here.
Where the PSD option is there, it is mentioned that it isn’t usually used. This is not factual, the PSD has only been available since 2017 and has been used twice already since then (Martin and Hately).
There’s two separate transactions, the one where we are able to use the PSD and will offer a backend pick just as the Crows and Blues did, which the Tigers can choose to accept.
The other being Tarrant and there is no incentive for the Roos to trade here until that trade exceeds the likely compo.
